A thread to say thank you and to offer support to Transgender Trend

I have recently been reminded yet again why the brilliant work of Transgender Trend is so important. For this reason I want to say thank you so much and also say that I will offer my support in a practical way.

Can I suggest that a look at Transgender Trend's most recent tweets might be a good idea. They can be found on their website if anyone cannot access Twitter.

Oh and just a general reminder that we cannot link to crowdfunders on Mumsnet.

On a day when the safeguarding world looks increasingly compromised in terms of children's protection, a quick bump for an organisation committed to ensuring the safety of all children.

LangCleg · 11/06/2019 11:59

Bumpity bump.

truthisarevolutionaryact · 08/06/2019 15:30

53% there.
Go Transgender Trend - and please do not google them - ever! Wink

ChickenonaMug · 07/06/2019 17:10

Halfway is a very important milestone, especially when achieved in less than a week.

Bumping in honour of half the supporting needed achieved.

I am insanely busy with my own research and have not given Transgender Trend the attention it deserves, however I spent some time recently reading their stance on pronouns and found it to be rational, sane and caring.

Thank you Transgender Trend

Here is an impact assessment on the consequences of teaching gender ideology to children as established fact:

And another detailing the impact of self-ID legislation on the rights of the child and which may breach the UN convention to which the UK is a signatory:

Let's take some time to recognise the value of the work TT does. Here is their safeguarding report, detailing the many loopholes that adopting extremist genderist lobby group guidance puts into our schools:

www.transgendertrend.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/Safeguarding_Concerns_web.pdf

It's a brilliant document, pointing out that not only are girls and their boundaries devalued by extremist genderism, but also that the very gender-questioning children they say they advocate for outside the protections given to them in law. It's a scandal that this guidance is in a single school, let alone hundreds or thousands of schools.

LangCleg · 05/06/2019 09:01

Now Harry has made his thing-that-shall-not-be-mentioned target, I shall be able to provide more support to TT's thing-that-shall-not-be-mentioned later this week. So that's good!

Wow, people have now donated £24k to Transgender Trend for their essential work, supporting parents, kids, and healthcare and educational professionals. Check out their twitter feed to get the link: twitter.com/Transgendertrd

MangoesAreMyFavourite · 04/06/2019 13:25

Wow! 22k+

truthisarevolutionaryact · 04/06/2019 12:23

Indeed callmekalinda. The idea that organisations cannot make errors of judgement is a nonsense. Perhaps this shows partly why we are in this awful situation with other groups foolishly promoting the unacceptable and at times downright harmful or sinister for children - and then not being able to back down when this is pointed out.

Pleased to see that they are almost half way (56%) there - and that Harry is also within hundreds of his target. It's amazing what good, decent people can so when faced with obscenely funded lobby groups removing rights from citizens.

callmekalinda · 04/06/2019 12:09

Just wanted to give a shout out to Paulaspoodle for highlighting the matter of the stickers.

Thank you, Paulaspoodle , for bringing this important matter to light. The fact that TT made an apology just goes to highlight that TT is run by decent, sensible and intelligent adults, who are able to analyse a situation with a cool mind and hold their hands up and accept that they made a mistake. My respect for TT has now deepened, and I have just made a monetary thank you to TT and will be setting up a monthly donation.

Cheers.

*who did those 5000 wonderful things....

Hmm Grin

ZebrasAreBras · 04/06/2019 10:12

I would love to know who do those 5000 wonderful things. Amazing contribution.

Huge thanks to Stephanie, who has worked tirelessly, and been subjected to some horrific abuse, on this.

I will donate, but I'm going to prioritise Harry the Owl first, as he only has 6 days left - and I would really like to see those police guidelines legally challenged.

So much important work going on! Meanwhile Stonewall & Pride are heavily funded by the government and rich corporations who want to get their rainbow cookies (whilst expelling Lesbians from their midst) - women (and men!) are fighting this via crowdfunding and hard work.

OvaHere · 04/06/2019 10:11

So much support given since yesterday. Fantastic.

ChickenonaMug · 04/06/2019 10:05

Wow! I have just looked at the amazing amount of support that Transgender Trend have received today.

Have just donated some things to yet another great appeal. It's becoming a habit.

Sunkisses · 03/06/2019 14:44

I am so glad I stumbled across Transgender Trend almost three years ago now, when I was fed up with idiots asking whether my kickass, stereotype-busting, short-haired, tree-climbing, trainer-wearing DDs were "trans". Have just donated to the Thing We Cannot Mention (but we can google easily or look at TT's twitter feed), and have had a Standing Order set up for £5 a month to TT for 3 years now. Please support them. They are amazing (especially Stephanie Davies-Arai), work incredibly hard, punch well above their weight, and are an essential resource for parents and health professionals

S1naidSucks · 03/06/2019 09:17

5000 thanks! That’s amazing. Such a wonderful, donation, as is every pound and penny that everyone gives.

ChickenonaMug · 03/06/2019 09:04

It is wonderful to see a very little number become a much bigger number and it is all thanks to some fantastically caring and generous people.

A wonderful soul did five thousand things we can't mention!

Whoever you are: you're fabulous!

Mumfun · 02/06/2019 22:32

Just reminded me to go on the website and donate. Thanks for keeping the thread bumped!

MangoesAreMyFavourite · 02/06/2019 22:11

Oh my gosh! This is fantastic... everybody seems to have been busy googling and doing things they are not supposed to do while I was watching BGT!!
