And any others under the trans umbrella. Here’s the link to the survey. www.lgbtisurvey.eu/lgbti/?campaign_id=154&utm_source=EPOA&utm_medium=orgs&utm_campaign=EPOA_orgs_INTL

I consider myself agender /genderfree and these nasty TRAs keep trying to oppress me by saying if I want any protections against the challenges and discrimination I face due to my biological sex I need to publicly identify as the gender associated with it. Why won't they let me be my authentic self?

HappyPunky · 28/05/2019 22:17

There is a bit where it asked if you've been abused, followed etc for any reason so I answered yes then it asked if it was because I'm genderfree so I put no. It's not completely obvious that I meant sexual harassment but better than just asking if it's from being genderfree and me just answering no

Doobigetta · 28/05/2019 22:11

I failed because it asked me how I’d describe myself and I selected “woman”. It did not ask me about my socially constructed gender. Damn the bloody EU and its correct distinction between sex and gender.

Fairenuff · 28/05/2019 22:09

I notice it's LGBTi now. The i being intersex. I thought people of intersex had specifically asked not to be lumped under the trans umbrella.

sackrifice · 28/05/2019 22:08

Have they EVER done a survey like this for women?

HappyPunky · 28/05/2019 22:06

I put in the free text box that my genderfree status hasn't been the cause of any discrimination against me but because my sex is female, I am discriminated against for that reason.

sackrifice · 28/05/2019 22:01

I'm not sure how you dress as genderfree

You wear what you want when you want.

Cuntysnark · 28/05/2019 22:00

Done. Pah.

siglingor · 28/05/2019 21:51

Have you undergone any kind of intervention to change your body so it better matches your gender identity?

I had a (gender conforming) haircut last week. Does that count?

siglingor · 28/05/2019 21:50

Think - if you press "forward" without selecting an answer, some sort of "don't know" or "prefer not to say" option generally becomes available.

VoleClock · 28/05/2019 21:49

i used to argue that, as I am a woman, anything i do is what a woman does. So now, I can argue that as I am genderfree, everything i wear is what genderfree people wear, non?

HerFemaleness · 28/05/2019 21:49

If you persist to the end there's a space to give a greater account of your experiences. I told them of the abuse I've received for not believing in gendered souls.

TheBullshitGoesOn · 28/05/2019 21:46

I started filling in as an observed female, genderfree person. But gave up when it asked about whether I dressed as my gender. I'm not sure how you dress as genderfree.

Oncewasblueandyellowtwo · 28/05/2019 21:41

I also wrote sex observed not assigned. And that I identify as gender free.

I wish they’d ask women how many times in the past 5 years they’d been abused or harassed. Thing is they already know and don’t do anything about it .

I couldn't get passed a question asking when I first realised I was transgender (I'm not, and never said I was).

I hope they're collecting partial answers

AlwaysTawnyOwl · 28/05/2019 21:13

Filled it in ‘identifying’ myself as agender cos what does this mean? I don’t ‘identify’ with Barbie or GI Joe and my only ‘identity’ is as me so I guess I am agender like almost everyone else I know.

ScrimshawTheSecond · 28/05/2019 21:08

'sex observed & recorded female' fitted ...

Cwenthryth · 28/05/2019 21:00

‘Observed female, not assigned)

TildaTurnip · 28/05/2019 20:59

That was scientifically quite off course...

Upzadaizy · 28/05/2019 20:58

Wow, our wonderful Somerville has quietly gently started quite a revolution!

Etrusca · 28/05/2019 20:56

First question: what sex were you assigned at birth?
I wrote: Sex correctly ID, not assigned.

Not enough characters to explain properly, unfortunately.

OhHolyJesus · 28/05/2019 20:49

Well that was interesting.
