is how India Willoughby describes the people she thinks have influenced the Scout's very sensible decision.
Is it a compulsory feature of womanhood, appropriated or not, to have long hair??! Confused

Hi @JackyHolyoake Thank you for the link to that Facebook post. It was very eloquent.

boatyardblues · 29/05/2019 13:19

Upzadaisy might squeak in under the ‘uterus haver’ designation?

Upzadaizy · 29/05/2019 12:34

oh

I'm going outside. I may be some time.

MenuPlant · 29/05/2019 11:56

Ooh ooh

Non person?

Have been flagging that as a good contender for years 😁

MenuPlant · 29/05/2019 11:55

Upz you are neither an ovulator nor a menstruator so there are no words to describe you sorry you don't exist sadface

MadamBatty · 29/05/2019 04:58

Upzadaizy if you’re post menopause you’re no longer a girl & irrelevant. Only dewy fresh maidens can be considered real women. Sorry, you’ll have to come over to the hag bench with me.

Upzadaizy · 28/05/2019 21:16

Oooo I have long hair and wear dresses. Does this mean I’m a “nice” feminist?

I tend not to shave my legs - post-menopause I find I’m less hairy of leg. But that is something about which Ms Willoughby will never know.

boatyardblues · 28/05/2019 20:42

Nope.

MenuPlant · 28/05/2019 19:43

Always I am sure short haired is code for lesbian and we all know they're the worst of the worst.

In general who calls women lesbians as an insult? It's not women is it.

IAmAlwaysLikeThis · 28/05/2019 17:02

jacky I don't think he's gay is he? He says he's attracted to women.

Interesting piece but as he's right wing he'll be ignored.

Michelleoftheresistance · 28/05/2019 16:31

India and some others believe that women should look properly feminine, do only feminine things, think only feminine thoughts and behave in a stereotypically feminine way.

Says a lot more about India et al than it does about reality. Again, walk around Tescos. Witness the many women without the time on their hands to think twice about whether they're performing femininity, with only biology in common, who regard all this navel gazing in about the same way they regard Heston Blumenthal requiring three days and a flame thrower to roast a chicken. And going on tv to witter about it.

AlwaysTawnyOwl · 28/05/2019 15:58

It's the 'short hair' bit I can't get past. I mean, I went to the hairdressers for a chop recently so does this mean I changed sex as well? It's starting to feel more and more like the Handmaids Tale.

JackyHolyoake · 28/05/2019 15:50

Just picked this from FB: an America gay man says LGB must drop the T and explains why:

I think for 'nasty' read uppity women!

"Well-behaved women seldom make history"

Hellmistress · 28/05/2019 12:44

I have long hair, unshaven legs (until I go on my holiday) and can be very, very nasty indeed when I want to be. India needs to look out!

LangCleg · 28/05/2019 12:32

THe frustrations of women trying to speak out and identify the abuse are predictable responses to control pattern behaviours.

Absolutely this. And it makes me realise just how many people are only paying lip service - virtue signalling, if you will - supporting domestic abuse initiatives and policies.

If you can't recognise all the exact same tactics and behaviours in a domestic setting when they happen in an online setting, you're either deliberately blind or you never cared in the first place.

I'm sorry to say: a case in point are some of the more dubious moderating decisions we've seen hereabouts. Sorry, MNHQ, but it's true.

I also put in another one about the recent Transgender Trent investigation into No Outsiders. That didn't get published either.

'No Outsiders : Queering the Primary Classroom'

by Shelley Charlesworth, a former BBC News journalist

I saw Venice's comments - I thought she did remarkably well to get those through. I put in a comment detailing Tatchell's past support of paedophilia and connection to prominent paedophiles. That didn't get past the moderators. I also put in another one about the recent Transgender Trent investigation into No Outsiders. That didn't get published either.

Justhadathought · 28/05/2019 11:52

Venice 1 managed to get in quite a bit about Tatchell's proposals for enforced mixed sex lessons on masturbation etc. People refused to believe until she produced the evidence.

You could see it on their faces couldn’t you? That look we all get when we’re intimidated by an angry person (usually male) and we freeze, then try to de-escalate the situation by being as unconfrontational as possible. The way they were all subtly looking to each other for reassurance that this was really happening, let’s just let this person run out of steam!

YY
Look again and you will see most freeze, see some attempted appeasement & Amanda Barry challenges.

RagingWhoreBag · 28/05/2019 11:46

It was gaslighting of the women (adult human females) 'locked' in the Big Brother house with a male person.

The responses by some of the women should be considered when confronted by an angry and controlling male

(Posted too soon) ...Narcissism and homosexuality. I worked in an industry with a higher than average population of gay men and whilst there were some lovely blokes amongst them, the levels of self absorption and selfishness in general, could be breathtaking at times.

Justhadathought · 28/05/2019 11:36

Thought so...no sign of my post in the Guardian and comments about to close.

KittensinaBlender · 28/05/2019 11:34

I think some gay men who have deeply entrenched internalized homophobia need to use hyper-femininity to reconcile their same-Sex attraction.

It wouldn’t surprise me if their was a link to

R0wantrees · 28/05/2019 11:31

Just tried to comment on an article by Peter Tatchell in the Guardian. I tried my utmost to clothe and couch my words in 'acceptable' language. But I suspect that even then it will not be posted. Some things can no longer even be mentioned. Even if true.

Its coercive control.
Some media platforms are enabling it.
