Has mermaids closed their twitter account or been suspended? I can't find it and I definitely haven't been blocked.

I'm wondering whether the whole Phoebe Waller-Bridge has forced them to be quiet for a bit?

I like Dutch biscuits. Can’t fault a stroopwafel

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 22/05/2019 22:22

The tax man has them as cake

HandsOffMyRights · 22/05/2019 22:22

My kids love Vienese Whirls, but are they a cake or a biscuit?

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 22/05/2019 22:21

how could I be a misogynist, I'm a cisgender female

What makes you female?

Fortnite not got any actual arguments so just making shit up?

terryleather · 22/05/2019 22:20

Studies about matter in the human brain have proven that transgender women have the same amounts of brain matter as cisgender women

So what.

Even if the above nonsense was true it's impossible to change sex so they would still be male no matter how they feel/identify, it would still be a male brain because it's in a male body - sex is not established by looking at people's brains ffs.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 22/05/2019 22:19

I won't support that

Why not?

She has as much right to say she is a fork as anything else, why do you feel the need to police this?

boatyardblues · 22/05/2019 22:18

Also, I suspect a convo about biscuits is in the offing.

Aye.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 22/05/2019 22:18

Oh, then this calls for the old Harry Enfield sketch then.

BelleSausage · 22/05/2019 22:18

Anyway, I had some really good Viennese biscuits from Waitrose this week. I ate the whole packet in one day and now I cannot stop thinking about them.

@CaptainKirksSpookyghost

It’s the old patriarchal myth that women’s brains are smaller, and therefore lesser than men’s.

fortnitehatingmum has just shown themselves to be a nice, traditional misogynist.

JackyHolyoake · 22/05/2019 22:16

I suggest that fortnite reads The Gendered Brain by Prof Gina Rippon.

[Hint: there is no such thing as a "female" or "male" brain.]

HandsOffMyRights · 22/05/2019 22:15

Yes please Belle.
Somebody wants this thread pulled.
They can go yank their own chain.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 22/05/2019 22:15

Which colour matter?
Do you actually understand what you are talking about here?

BelleSausage · 22/05/2019 22:13

BelleSausage · 22/05/2019 22:13

Lady brain has been widely debunked. Try again.

The brain is elastic. There is no such thing as inate self. Try reading some Goffman.

GeordieGenes · 22/05/2019 22:12

@fortnitehatingmum

Can you please link to the scientific article you’re referring to?

KnitterOfSocks · 22/05/2019 22:12

Sources please? That sounds like nonsense. Also do not use cis, it's very offensive

terfsandwich, being a TERF isn't exactly something to brag about...

TERF is an insult, just like an insult about race, religion or sexual orientation. The neutral term is 'gender critical '.

BelleSausage · 22/05/2019 22:06

@fortnitehatingmum

Yes it is

Tired of Explaining Reality to Fuckwits
I’m a TERF every day.
