Another crime recorded as committed by a woman and apparently it's under consideration whether this person should be sent to a women's prison.

One year and nine months? After a suspended sentence of two years this judge give a custodial sentence that is less?

MenopauseIsMySuperPower · 09/02/2020 21:35

I'd like to express how appalled I am but can't find words that would fit in the guidelines Angry

Lordfrontpaw · 09/02/2020 21:24

So. According to their lawyer part of this can be blamed on them being abused as children.

Now - not being any authority - but let’s assume that the sex of children abused are 50/50 boys and boys. So we could reasonable then assume that those people are more likely to then go on and become abusers.

So why are much more abusers male then and not 50/50?

This story is just so wrong on so many levels.

RHTawneyonabus · 09/02/2020 21:19

I think you should put a trigger warning on the article. It contains a horrible description of the images involved. @SpreadsheetQueen

I do not understand why these vile people discovering their ‘gender issues’ in prison isn’t subject to more scrutiny and push back from the authorities.

IfNot · 09/02/2020 21:06

Britney I just mean that the number of men watching images of child abuse is a lot higher than most people realise. As in, there just are not enough prisons to keep them in.

ChateauMyself · 09/02/2020 20:47

Interesting idea MrsKneller

Fuck, I’ve been caught (again).
Oh I know - I’ve got Rapid Onset Gender (Prison) Dysphoria.
Nah, too triggering (or some such) for me to undergo treatment.
Therapist - fuck, I’m not getting involved in this shower of shit.
Judge - I’m not touching this with a barge pole.
Prison Service - oh fuck.

BritneyPeedOnALadybug · 09/02/2020 20:32

Hmmm. Maybe there’s a concerted effort to push more topical discussions off the front page, especially in the run up to the publication of Harry’s judicial review outcome

I meant the site in general, tbh, this weekend I have seen so many bumped old threads and I didn’t know whether it was advanced search going haywire or what.

@ifnot I saw that comment too and my jaw dropped. Oh, I’m sorry that the paedophile criminals that watched and shared illegal child porn feel uncomfortable in the men’s prison they have to stay in because of the crimes they committed. HmmAngry

A relative is in the prison service and she told me that the numbers of men inside for watching I.O.C.A are way higher than anyone realises. It makes me feel shaky with rage.

Not sure what this means but my ultra woke brother works in a men’s prison and even he is now voicing his concerns that the people in there claiming they are born in the wrong body to try and get transferred to a women’s prison aren’t always telling the truth. I want to say “fucking, duh?” but I’m leaving him to discover his own journey of realisation.

IfNot · 09/02/2020 20:25

And this:
man downloads images of children being abused and raped then claims to be transgendered to avoid male prison. Why won't the press tell the truth?
Woke civil servants who have never been near the inside of a prison taking in good faith the claims of violent offenders to be "trans" and putting women in harm's way. Fucking idiots. No men in women's prisons. Ever.

IfNot · 09/02/2020 20:20

Pedophiles have a difficult time in prison due to their crimes.
That comment ..I just can't even.
More difficult than the horrific abuse they cause to small children?? Oh the poor things. SERIOUSLY??
I just can't read the article or I'll never sleep tonight but WHY are these people ever let out of prison in the first place, after the first offense? Well, money I suppose, the cost of keeping them inside.
I wish there was an island we could just ship them all off to, all the men who facilitate the abuse of children.
A relative is in the prison service and she told me that the numbers of men inside for watching I.O.C.A are way higher than anyone realises. It makes me feel shaky with rage.

MrsKneller · 09/02/2020 19:46

This person failed to complete a sex offenders course because of’ gender issues’. Presumably the course that was offered was one for men. These ‘gender issues’ will presumably be a get out for this person from any kind of therapy which is offered to make sexual offenders; while the therapy for female offenders would be clearly inappropriate. So.... are ‘gender issues’ potentially a way to avoid sex offenders therapy?

boatyardblues · 09/02/2020 19:36

Hmmm. Maybe there’s a concerted effort to push more topical discussions off the front page, especially in the run up to the publication of Harry’s judicial review outcome. 🤷‍♂️

BritneyPeedOnALadybug · 09/02/2020 19:34

O/T but is there something going on with the site or search feature on here or something? This weekend there have been so many old threads bumped for seemingly no reason.

NearlyGranny · 09/02/2020 19:29

Surprised that the offender isn't suing the media site for bungling the pronouns. But perhaps they (insert offender's preferred pronoun here) are/is.

Jay55, does that make it the responsibility of women to provide a less threatening environment to the poor souls? At a massive cost to themselves in terms of threat, safety, dignity, privacy, freedom from harassment, voyeurism, assault, rape, and the other male behaviours a male offender with this kind of criminal record will be unleashing in bagfuls wherever they happen to be?

What about the many other groups of vulnerable men who have a tough time in prison, should women adopt them and suck up their presence as well? Is that what women are for?

GrinitchSpinach · 21/05/2019 17:53

Jesus Christ, I couldn't even finish reading the article about this person's offenses.

Am sickened by these crimes against children committed overwhelming by MALES, and by proposal after proposal after guideline after recommendation that everyone be compelled to take into account, first and foremost, said the feelings of these heinous male criminals about their internal gender identity when considering which language to use to describe them!

Erythronium · 21/05/2019 17:52

The absolute scum of the earth and men want to claim that this man can somehow be a woman and record his crimes as women's crimes.

SarahTancredi · 21/05/2019 16:50

Maybe they were cunningly disguised as a man

But no one would ever do that either..

AlwaysComingHome · 21/05/2019 16:49

So strange that nobody actually found the offender, eh?

Maybe they were cunningly disguised as a man.

Popchyk · 21/05/2019 16:30

This offender committed the most recent offences in 2017.

And is only now being dealt with by the courts. 2 years later.

I read somewhere that sexual offences typically take at least six months to get to court - often much longer for more serious cases as we saw in the Challenor case.

That gives plenty of time for offenders, who know that they will be likely to be found guilty and sent to prison (usually because they are already on a suspended sentence or on probation for other sexual offences), to consider their gender identity.

OrchidInTheSun · 21/05/2019 15:00

The police really told people to look out for a woman called Ella? That's insane. They're prioritising the gender identity of a convicted paedophile over the safety of children?

AngryAngry

stillathing · 21/05/2019 12:56

I do hope the increase in women committing sexual and violent offences makes the news. Given that people fitting the old definition of women committed so very few of these crimes, I would have thought the statistics will be quite altered.

FlipFloppyFlop · 21/05/2019 12:45

Is there no government petition on the go to try and prevent MtF crimes being recorded as female?

Genderfreelass · 21/05/2019 12:26

Jay55 paedos get a difficult time in prison as even criminals think they are disgusting. However because of that they put them all together, Littlehey is about 80% sex offenders and the others non violent at risk prisoners.

Freaking0ut · 21/05/2019 12:19

That is incredibly upsetting to read on many levels.
