Posie not being charged

Posie has just done a live video, she's not being charged but only as they ran out of time to charge her for public order.

The police were going to pursue it in the name of public interest (sounds like SG dropped the charges but the police decided to pursue regardless).

Worth watching to get the full story.

Is that Pascoe who used to be the Master of the Hunt:

EndoplasmicReticulum · 13/05/2019 18:52

Sue Pascoe is a conservative candidate for MEP in Yorkshire and Humber, saw that name on postal vote.

AnotherBewilderedQuoll · 13/05/2019 18:47

Ah, I see. Thanks Dodo. This is beyond ridiculous now. It's dangerous. As far as I'm concerned this is only a technicality away from actual swatting. Maybe it's because I've never had dealings with the men who are more open about being MRAs but I've never come across a political group so shamelessly and fundamentally dishonest, juvenile, and plain weird, as TRAs. They really are something else. If I could go back in time and tell 19 year old me that one day the men's movement most likely to destroy women's rights would be one with a large number of men in pigtails, nappies, and fursuits, who were able to convince libfems that some penises are female, I'd have assumed future me lived on a diet of magic mushrooms.

Genderfreelass · 13/05/2019 18:46

Both labour and conservatives have fully swallowed the kool aid. We need new parties and proportional representation.

misscockerspaniel · 13/05/2019 18:42

MrsBertBibby Pascoe says on their twitter a/c that they are "one of the Conservative candidates in Yorkshire and the Humber for the European Parliamentary elections"

MrsBertBibby · 13/05/2019 18:34

The BBC don't list Pascoe as a Tory candidate in NE England.

PencilsInSpace · 13/05/2019 18:24

Has anyone got a link to Posie's video? I'm not on FB so I can't search for it.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 13/05/2019 18:21

Sorry I got as far as them declaring themself a hormonal teenage girl and threw up a little in my mouth. What a crock.

If I got a new job I’d hardly be saying ‘I’m getting to that age where I don’t give a shit and am a horny as hell. What do you mean that’s inappropriate? Why doesn’t everyone want to know about my sex life? Do you want to see my piercing?’

PencilsInSpace · 13/05/2019 18:20

Good news for Posie, it must be such a relief. They probably decided not to proceed after the Miranda Yardley fiasco.

misscockerspaniel · 13/05/2019 18:20

AnotherBewilderedQuoll That quote is from a tweet dated 3 Sept 2018.

Pascoe is standing for the Tories in the forthcoming Euro elections

Sue Pascoe:

SP is standing as a tory candidate in the EU elections.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 13/05/2019 18:15

Why can’t they counter-report those responsible (we can guess) also as a terrorist group (for what they believe and what they do to people who disagree with them).

DodoPatrol · 13/05/2019 18:14

Used to be Graham. Transitioned. Divorced. Likes assault rifles and horse riding ouch. LGBT Conservative rep of some sort.

AnotherBewilderedQuoll · 13/05/2019 18:08

I just went to Posie's Facebook to watch the video but was distracted by a post, which is a screencap of a tweet by someone named Sue Pascoe, that reads:

"WPUK together with their connected We Need To Talk group have been reported to the police counter terrorist unit as a hate group under the UK Prevent programme. They are regarded in the same category as Britain First. This is not listening and debating with a reasonable group".

So I searched Twitter to see who this person is and wtf this is about but of course I'm blocked.

AlwaysComingHome · 13/05/2019 17:52

Can the police be charged with wasting police time?

They are a total fucking joke.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 13/05/2019 17:33

Wasting police time 🤔

Absolutepowercorrupts · 13/05/2019 17:26

I've just seen the video. Susie Green withdrew the charges in March, a police sergeant decided to send the complaint to the CPS and charge Posie with a Public order offence, she's had a phone call today to tell her that she's not being charged because they ran out of time. The complaint came about because of two comments Posie made in 2 different videos that were put onto YouTube. The comments were made in July/August last year.

TheInvestigator · 13/05/2019 17:22

Summary offences have strict time limits on bringing charges. The sticking point is when does the clock start on the 6 month limit... is it when the incident took place or when it's reported or when the police first interview you etc.

LizzieSiddal · 13/05/2019 17:14

Whilst it would have been great to see this go to court and get chucked out straight away, I'm relieved Posie doesn't have to go through the whole process.

sawdustformypony · 13/05/2019 17:12

There's no such thing as "ran out of time" to charge someone.

I think there is still the 6-months limit for summary-only offences. A minor public order would fall into that category.
