Thanks datun

Best everyone keeps off twitter and takes the fight to the places that really matter. The TRAS really only have any validity on twitter and social media - because they have a complete paucity of rational, reasoned argument elsewhere.

Melroses · 02/05/2019 21:38

Yes. And Kate.

LizzieSiddal · 02/05/2019 20:41

Did Miranda have an injunction imposed before her trial?

An injunction doesn’t necessarily mean anyone is guilty.

Thanks all for the explanations and for giving further info about Joani's tweets. Thank You too Josni if you're reading - I'm following from my work account so can't reply in the thread Smile - but am very grateful that there were witnesses there to make these proceedings public.

Datun · 02/05/2019 18:42

It's confusing isn't it allabouteve1

From what I can gather Hayden took Caroline to court to try and get an injunction to make her stop tweeting about Hayden.

The injunction was granted, but only on the condition that Hayden abided by the same restrictions. Hayden pre-empted being asked that, by voluntarily agreeing to abide by the same restrictions, thereby looking as though they hadn't been told off. When in fact of course, they would have been, had they not complied.

So they both have to stop addressing each other, now. Until the actual trial which is for either defamation or harassment, I can't remember.

I think that's it.

allabouteve1 · 02/05/2019 18:33

Can someone now explain what's happened?

JessicaWakefieldSV · 02/05/2019 18:26

The judge doesn’t care, this case was probably just an irritant to a judge that doesn’t know the difference between an email and a tweet.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 02/05/2019 18:16

I can't post on the support thread - it keeps telling me that the thread has been deleted.

The personage who made the complaint may have an injunction - but that doesn't stop their little mates or sock puppets does it? Does the judge understand this (since they seem to not know that a tweet is not an email)?

Michelleoftheresistance · 02/05/2019 18:10

Can someone brighter than me summarise this stinking mess for Joanna Cherry? She needs to be aware that it isn't just Twitter on which unequal and unfair standards of behaviour/expectations and rules are applied to the menstruators/cervix havers/bleeders/subclass differently from everyone else in the UK, but she may also wish to look at the evidence and consider whether the police and apparently the judiciary are applying a similar policy.

JessicaWakefieldSV · 02/05/2019 18:08

VickyEadie Yes. Not much time no, she’ll have more time for the trial

SophieLMumsnet · 02/05/2019 18:08

The thread's been reopened - thanks for your patience! Please do keep TGs in mind, as we're really not trying to censor anyone and would prefer to avoid deletions.

littlbrowndog · 02/05/2019 18:07

Whatever happens caro has her lovely kids and husband. A great comfort 🌷🌹

VickyEadie · 02/05/2019 18:07

Can I ask, because I'm a bit puzzled - is this court thing related to the papers Caro was served only a few days ago? If so, she didn't get much time to prepare...

JessicaWakefieldSV · 02/05/2019 18:07

Today we've seen privilege exercise power at the expense of justice.

Yes.

Hayden had to also agree to stop certain behaviours themselves.

BoreOfWhabylon · 02/05/2019 18:06

Joani says the judge means tweets when he talks about emails.

redredrobins · 02/05/2019 18:03

Come on MNHQ this is incredibly important, please reopen the thread.

Howyoualldoworkme · 02/05/2019 18:01

It's over. Put the thread back, it's needed!

JessicaWakefieldSV · 02/05/2019 18:00

ITS OVER. Can we discuss it now, oh pretty please?

NotTerfNorCis · 02/05/2019 18:00

Emails are a lot different from tweets. Sending someone a flood of emails could be construed as harassment. Tweeting, especially if you don't @ the person? Not so much.

BlodwynBludd · 02/05/2019 18:00

I don't understand a lot of what's happening. Anyone with a legal brain able to translate what a voluntary undertaking is and what the different stages if court hearings are?

50shadesofgreyrock · 02/05/2019 17:59

This doesn’t really suggest that the judge was competent to be sitting on a case dealing with harassment via multiple means including social media.

The judge doesn’t even know the difference between an email and a tweet for fucks sake
