A wonderful breakfast thread to ensure all the good women of fwr start the day right with substance and not just dross. I’ve already failed and partaken in consuming shite but it might not be too late for lots of you!

I like making egg free pancakes by substituting the eggs fro mashed bananas- works a treat.

Perhaps when you sell all 3 copies of your book you could make the rest of them into handy bits of furniture

A chair for example

I look forward to reading 'Baking your upright stength' in the appendix when I read your book when it gets the hefty discount sticker in The Works.WinkGrin

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 04/04/2019 22:06

Or strength even 😀

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 04/04/2019 22:06

I have only eaten 2 of the creme eggs you can see in the tin photo

Keep your stength up while baking

A top tip in my new book 'baking for the stars' also known as 'floral? Who dat?'

FloralBunting · 04/04/2019 22:02

I actually went into the kitchen to set up.the shot and have now come upstairs with the bottle of Jack Daniels you can see in the background and a couple of packets of skips.

All these tips will be in the book, btw.

FloralBunting · 04/04/2019 21:59

🤣

FloralBunting · 04/04/2019 21:58

I had to take it off the top of the microwave and wipe off a thick layer of dust, and I actually have no idea why the Yorkshire mix was in the cupboard, I've never seen it before and I use 65p frozen individual ones.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 04/04/2019 21:55

I had to go to the garage for my cake tin Grin

Did you have to go to the attic for your cake stand?

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 04/04/2019 21:54

I'm not a fan of Angel Delight either tbh, hated it as a child and have never dared touch it since - it promised so much and always disappointed.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 04/04/2019 21:08

Oooh i tell you what

I had a ryvita with lemon curd the other day...lush

(It may have been lemon curd with ryvita to be honest)

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 04/04/2019 21:07

It was lush terry, really easy

I was making it for friends so i was pleased it worked...it really didn't sound as if it was going to

Im ignoring flora as A) angel delight is mank and B) im quite obviously the next Mary Berry

Thought that went without saying...and now I've had to say it

terryleather · 04/04/2019 21:04

Oh Rufus I wish I was sitting down to eat that delicious sounding custardy & bun loveliness right now...

Beamur · 04/04/2019 20:59

Freezing unripe bananas also makes them suitable for recipes like banana bread.
My DH likes a Weetabix spread with butter but is too healthy to eat them anymore.
Pancake batter can make other delish puddings too. I made one with tinned pears and chunks of plain chocolate that you bake in the oven and it was nice.

FloralBunting · 04/04/2019 20:54

I made a pudding the other day.

I lovingly tore the top of the angel delight packet open, emptied the contents into a glass bowl with some cold milk, whisked it up and put scoops of it carefully into bowls where my family consumed it a speed that would make onlookers get indigestion.

I am the next Mary Berry.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 04/04/2019 20:47

I made a pudding the other day

Halved hot cross buns, marmalade spread on them, put slanty in an oven dish and fresh custard poured over and baked in the oven

Oh my actual god...

terryleather · 04/04/2019 20:44

I've never made nor eaten a Yorkshire pudding.

Once you try it MotherForkin you will wonder why you've waited so long and it's really easy.

I favour dripping for the fat, sunflower oil can jog on in this instance.

StrangeLookingParasite · 04/04/2019 20:20

I make a quite décent banana and vanille cake. Happy to share the recipe (on account of it not being mine anyway).
