Apparently telling women to 'die in a grease fire' is hate speech. Who knew?

Have a great weekend everyone!!

nauticant. I think it deserves a thread of its own, but I suppose it's not about feminism.

I agree with this, and, I would add, that it is about feminism if you watch the video, and when you see the white vice-chancellor, or whatever he is, using equality to further a different agenda that is not quite clear,

ask how much is he representative of a certain section of the male intelligentsia that has used feminism itself to further their own ends in dismantling a system of which they want to take control. Once feminism has done its job then dissenting women will be are being thrown under the bus. So, women got the pill developed by men, for men, widespread abortion because men wanted it and so on. I daresay this will not be a popular view and I am not saying that women haven't struggled for their rights but that this struggle has been used as part of a wider agenda, exactly like the Evergreen story which is just a microcosm.

Some of the first handmaidens were the Bloomsbury Group and Virginia Woolf who provided a nice outlet for the women-hating secret society, The Cambridge Apostles.

Holy god

Datun · 30/03/2019 12:35

Add you've got to hand it to those kiwis. They said this would happen, they predicted every single stage.

And it's gone like clockwork.

As soon as McKinnon got tenure the sense of invincibility would allow their true self to burst forth from the shackles.

And it has, spectacularly. Like a previous poster, I can't help oscillating between finding it wildly entertaining and deeply disturbing.

Datun · 30/03/2019 12:31

What was it ? "You...you thought this would end well for you???"

I actually can't stop laughing. It's the archetypal pantomime villain.

It just needs a spot of moustache twirling.

Lymphy · 30/03/2019 12:09

Re the issue of tenure: McKinnon is listed as an assistant professor on the college website. That would normally mean non-tenured - it's the lowest grade of American 'professor' status. Curious about where have people seen discussion of this?

Ereshkigal · 30/03/2019 11:45

I don't think they have any intention of passing. They want to be seen as they are, changing the definition of what is women and female. It's all about their power compared to the power women have.

Exactly. Just like McKinnon thinks it's transphobic to have any testosterone requirements at all in women's sports.

AnyFucker · 30/03/2019 11:44

I think you are right zutt

Erasing what it means to be a woman is the goal

ZuttZeVootEeeVro · 30/03/2019 11:19

nauticant. I think it deserves a thread of its own, but I suppose it's not about feminism.

It was a painful watch, seeing a cult work in reality.

One of the parts that struck me was the idea that questioning, or asking for examples of racism were classed as racist acts. It's as if they didn't want any other solution to be found other that the equity policy.

I'll look out for part 3.

ZuttZeVootEeeVro · 30/03/2019 11:09

McKinnon does not pass as a woman

I don't think they have any intention of passing. They want to be seen as they are, changing the definition of what is women and female. It's all about their power compared to the power women have.

nauticant · 30/03/2019 11:04

I'm still gobsmacked by the Evergreen story ZuttZeVootEeeVro. Have you watched ? It's even worse than part 1. At times I was tempted to close the window and try to forget what I'd seen.

I assume part 3 is still being produced.

FermatsTheorem · 30/03/2019 11:04

Zutt - my god, that video from 8 minutes in to 10.20, describing the faculty meeting. It's got overtones of the cultural revolution! (And reminds me of James Kirkup's comments about MPs approaching him to say they are GC in private, but won't stick their heads above the parapet in public).

There's a thread about regulatory capture which has dropped off the front page, but is a really, really vital read.

littlbrowndog · 30/03/2019 11:03

It’s very weird behaviour.

Anyone who sees these tweets must be like wow is that an adult person behaving like that

JessicaWakefieldSVH · 30/03/2019 11:03

Someone should tag Joe Rogan, he just had twitter people on his show and questioned them about their T & C’s being based on ideology, and the banning of some people and not others, he’d be real interested in Linda Riley’s involvement in the reinstatement of Mckinnon. Apparently Rogan follows Zuby, so even getting Zuby to retweet some of this would be good.

theOtherPamAyres · 30/03/2019 11:03

Hooray, hooray, McKinnon's back and not only shouting at Terfs and transphobes but ALL cis women.

You couldn't pay for this kind of advert and publicity in the midst of a campaign to force the IOC to review its policy on transgender athletes' eligibility.

No-one should report the narc for anything while Sharron D and Paula Radcliffe are making representations. Give McKinnon the megaphone, instead.

JessicaWakefieldSVH · 30/03/2019 11:01

Nobody would be shocked to learn that person is trans. My DH and his IT colleagues looked at the photo of them on the podium next to two actual female athletes and laughed, literally laughed, at the delusion, but were shocked that everyone allowed that to happen. Certain people may think nobody saying anything in a women’s bathroom means they pass, but it really means women are afraid of them and are too fearful to say anything. They make women fearful and show off about that on Twitter. How disgusting.

littlbrowndog · 30/03/2019 11:00

Yeah Riley apparently has strings she pulled

Anyroads the McKinnon and Riley now insulting glinner on twitter. Like watching teen boys egging each other on

Very biazzare seeing 2 adults behave like that

I couldn’t actually believe I was seeing it.

FermatsTheorem · 30/03/2019 10:59

Yes, we know Neph. If you scroll upthread you'll see screengrabs of MK's reaction to being reinstated - not pretty. Full narc meltdown plus more (not so thinly veiled) threats and a gif of crowing with laughter in front of a raging fire.

AnyFucker · 30/03/2019 10:58

McKinnon does not pass as a woman. The only reason McKinnon gets no attention in women's toilets (if that is to be believed) is because most women would be too intimidated to call out a 6 foot 14 stone bloke in an enclosed space and no help at hand.

Nephilim1964 · 30/03/2019 10:57

Have just heard that McKinnon's appealed and is back on Twitter Angry

Just in case you've not seen it, have a look at this:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=FH2WeWgcSMk

Why it happens remains unclear but the fact of what goes on is presented in plain and shocking terms.

nauticant I've just spent a while reading up about Bret Weinstein/Evergreen. It's mind blowing how this is happening.

nauticant totally, my thoughts exactly and they are expressing surprise to avoid hurting feelings (female socialisation) and avoiding finding themselves in a threatening situation (I imagine they aren’t guilty of non knowing who RMK is and their reputation as a bit of a bully).

Obviously these are just my thoughts and maybe I’m wrong Smile

Iused2BanOptimist · 30/03/2019 10:45

The Kiwis have some sound advice for the head of department. Along with general incredulity that tenure was awarded.

Most likely LadyLazarus40 women clock McKinnon as 1) a man, and 2) a man who has a sense of entitlement and a very short fuse. Women will be seeking to avoid interacting with McKinnon for the most basic of reasons.

In McKinnon's world, this translates into McKinnon passing perfectly and being completely accepted by all the women McKinnon meets.
