A school holding a pride parade? That sounds lovely and inclusive. The placards are a tad worrying though...

So a parent if happy for little kids to share loo facilities.

Will the be happy when Tina is 13 and has periods but feels uneasy to use the shared loos with hormonal teenage boys? Or when girls stop using the loos to avoid the boys? Or when girls are groped in the loos? Or when girls have go in pairs so that they aren’t alone in the loos with boys?

GerryblewuptheER · 24/03/2019 09:56

Thus is what they do.

Hide behind children.

Wake up people. They do not care about your children they are using them. Grooming them.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 24/03/2019 09:53

No little girl ever wanted little boys in the loos. And very few little boys ever wanted to go into the girls (but then the case in the US pops to mind where the little ‘boy’ decided he was a girl and sexually assaulted a very little girl).

When I was a child there was no way on gods green earth a boy would be tolerated in the girls loo.

So so agree OP that the T has parasitically attached itself. The row about No Outsiders has brought loads of people forward to condemn condemnation of inclusive SRE, but there's that T hanging on it's coat-tails and cruising in on the back of decades of work.

T is not a sexuality. T possibly deserves more attention, more empathy (currently catching up with The Making of Me and feeling desperately sad). What is most needed though is a deep analysis of its massive growth. That growth will be multiplied if regressive gender stereotypes are embedded within what children are taught at school and if irreversible medical treatments are normalised and most especially if we can't effing well talk about it without being labelled phobic

Despairing.

My DD is in Reception and they have girls' and boys' toilets and she wouldn't want to use the boys'.
But children do often ask how to spell the one word they aren't sure of while guessing the others. I'm prepared to believe an indoctrinated Y1 or Y2.

BadPennyNoBiscuit · 24/03/2019 09:47

BarbieJellyBabyBrain don't most kids learn to spell 'boy' and then add an 's' to make it plural?

JessicaWakefieldSVH · 24/03/2019 09:45

This is creepy.

littlbrowndog · 24/03/2019 09:43

No 4 year kid ever has dreams about sharing loos with boys ffs

They don5 even think about this stuff
What weirdo thought it was a great idea to have a kid holding up that made up sign
Totally weird thing to do

Sicario · 24/03/2019 09:41

I am SO ANGRY that reception age girls are being brainwashed and forced to accept boys into their intimate private spaces. Fuck. Right. Off.

BarbieJellyBabyBrain · 24/03/2019 09:38

You can tell the sign was written by an adult, as (apart from the sentiment) it uses the same spelling for words that are phonetically different - 'bois' and 'saim'.

Without wanting to get into the ins and outs of child phonetic development Grin this is fine isn't it? 'Oi' for 'boys' and 'ai' for 'same' (lots of kids struggle with the split digraph to start with)?

BettyDuMonde · 24/03/2019 09:37

There is a ‘please flush the toilet’ sign in my local kids hospital drawn by a child. The only word spelled incorrectly is toilet - ‘toliet’.

Another vote for ‘chinny reckon’ on the sign in the OP.

Alltheprettyseahorses · 24/03/2019 09:37

No way did a 4yo child write that. It isn't just the fake bad spelling, it's the neatness and lack of back-to-front letters. Pathetic brainwashing.

MsJeminaPuddleduck · 24/03/2019 09:34

The fluidly of the letters (g, a, t etc) suggests it's written by an adult / someone who's not new to writing

BadPennyNoBiscuit · 24/03/2019 09:31

AstonishedFemalePersonator · 24/03/2019 09:31

Yeah. I totally believe a child wrote that sign.

BarbieJellyBabyBrain · 24/03/2019 09:29

To be fair, the spelling is pretty consistent. They have used the same 'oi' in both 'boy' and 'toilet' and you learn 'oi' before 'oy'. And a child might use 'cood' because they will have learnt that 'oo' sound, although a lot of children go for 'cud'.

Of course none of that means that it isn't totally obvious that that child hasn't come up with that themselves. And it does kind of look like an adult has written it. Which is actually really fucking disturbing!

BitOfFun · 24/03/2019 09:26

If that child is so young as to spell so badly, I'd worry they were being brainwashed.

If they're in secondary school, I'd be worried for their education.

Sexnotgender · 24/03/2019 09:23

That’s weird as fuck.

That’s clearly written by an adult pretending to be a child.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 24/03/2019 09:20

I can't decide if an adult writing that sign makes it better or worse...

BarbieJellyBabyBrain · 24/03/2019 09:20

Oh that's hilarious!

Yeah, because every Year 1 kids hopes and dreams revolve around who is using which bog 😂

And anyway, in most schools Reception and Infants share the toilets anyway so this wouldnt even be on the radar of any child of that age. Which makes me wonder (if that child did in fact come up with that themselves which I highly doubt) what have these children been being taught.

Now children, you are incredibly privileged here in Year 1, because boys and girls use the same toilets. However, you have to understand that when you get to Year 3 you will lose that right, and the boys will not be able to go in the same toilet as the girls. There will be separate toilets. Separate.

I know this is upsetting to hear, but children, you are the future, and you must fight for the right for boys to use the same toilet as the girls. It's not a hopeless dream children, and hopefully one day, everyone will be able to go in together...

Now what's next? Ah yes, if you are a boy but you like girly things like pink and glitter then it might mean......

TimeLady · 24/03/2019 09:13

Yep, that sign is very disturbing.

StephsCaddy · 24/03/2019 09:12

Why the hell are 4 yrs old having pretend pride parades anyway?
And, yes that sign has clearly been written by an adult pretending to be a child.

TheLoupGarouCrew · 24/03/2019 09:11

*BtW, I meant ‘Special’ as in ‘rare’. Apologies, I should have picked my words more carefully. The gist is that whoever wrote that sign is not nearly as clever as they think they are. I’m not sure they’re even as clever as I think they are.

HandsOffMyRights · 24/03/2019 09:09

Disturbing on every level. I hope there will be a full investigation at the school.

TheLoupGarouCrew · 24/03/2019 09:05

Interesting child that misspells both 'girls' and 'boys' but nails 'toilet'

It takes a special kind of idiot to get their fake childish spelling quite that wrong, doesn’t it?

For the record, this is the full sign:

“I have a dreem if bois cood go to the saim toilet as gerls.”

‘Cood’ Ffs. Hmm
