I always think about this. I'm reminded about a scene from the news, decades ago, when one part of the sectarian divide in NI walked their children to school through an alley of other-part-of-the-sectarian-divide adults who shouted abuse and threats of violence. A convenient alternate route was available. The parents opted to walk their terrified children through that. Adults on the other side showed up for their part of the ritual.

The children were living shields and targets. I often wonder how this affected them in later life. Were they proud of their parents? Did they resent being sacrificed to their beliefs?

Just how far from the herd do you have to stray before you wonder if you're on the wrong side of history or behaving inhumanely.

Much better than the situation across the three states around my location. All of the shelters are open to people with penises. None for non penis owners.

Detroit two shelters in Vancouver cater for TW alongside women. VRR is the only one of this type - it refers TW to one of the others, if needed.

Given TW are less than 1% of the population (cf 51% who are female), you would think access to 66% of women’s centres would be ample!

But no, the campaign against VRR continues...
