Just going to leave this here for your thoughts if you haven't already seen the twitter comments...

Jameela's face says it all I think.

@LassOfFyvie that's how we are socialised to react and say, that doesn't mean how we all think. I know women who wouldn't fail to say that they brought success when it was really just them. And "thinking like a woman" suggests that there's a homogenity to how women think that is distinct to how men think, that's not true.

origamiunicorn · 19/03/2019 23:25

Which woman does he think like I wonder, is it me, or you, or that other woman over there, or the countless billions of other women with all different personalities and thoughts that you can't just lump into one? Tell us Sam, I'd be interested to know.
Yours sincerely, a woman, with obviously the same thoughts as every other woman.

LassOfFyvie · 19/03/2019 23:19

On the thread about the Pi record a poster said that when reviewing CVs of senior staff it was noticeable that women talked about 'we' when discussing their team's achievements, whereas men typically referred to their team success in the first person.

Aren't the women who do this examples of thinking like a woman? It might not be innate but the poster is saying there is a different way of thinking.

There are loads of other examples on here of thinking like a woman e.g a frequently repeated one is that women will underestimate their skills on cvs.

Glad you enjoyed all the "lushness" Sam

You must have missed the 99% of comments basically calling you a pratt.

Katvonmythicbiowoman · 19/03/2019 22:35

Or this?

And now Jameela Jamil is tweeting about gender stereotypes and putting people in boxes and I don’t think I understand what she’s saying......

PotteryGirl · 19/03/2019 20:59

I increasingly find myself going away from these kind of articles humming "The king is in the all-together, the all-together, the all-together.....".

Gush away Sam...🤮

littlebillie · 19/03/2019 20:55

He's a sponge 🧽

MrsJamin · 19/03/2019 20:35

"Literally a human sponge".Hmm

Sam Smith thinks like a woman
PotteryGirl · 19/03/2019 19:26

As he got a record coming out?...just a thought..😉

hipsterfun · 19/03/2019 17:35

I'm disappointed by Jameela Jamil as well tbh for enabling this crap.

Really? I’m not seeing anything other than a woke self-promoter.

MrsJamin · 19/03/2019 16:47

Once again, Sam, as many have said, being a woman is not a costume or a feeling, HTH

RockyFlintstone · 19/03/2019 16:25

Speaking about being "non-binary", Sam said: "You do not identify in a gender. You are just you. You are your own special creation. That is how I take it.

Seriously, how are people getting away with saying such offensive shite? So anyone who isn't 'non-binary' identifies with their gender? So women who have been oppressed have identified into that oppression? And anyone who isn't non binary isnt a 'special creation'?

I'm disappointed by Jameela Jamil as well tbh for enabling this crap.

As for 'I think like a woman'....Fuck. Right. Off.

AstonishedFemalePersonator · 19/03/2019 15:30

I don't feel sorry for him: any man who claims that he "thinks like a woman" is a dickhead.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 19/03/2019 14:02

Haven’t we all? I can’t just self ID myself at 5’10 size 10 with luscious hair and glowing skin. Tough shit matey.

O4FS · 19/03/2019 12:38

I feel sorry for him. He’s obviously got body issues going on, and he’s clutching at straws trying to find solutions.

As he is there, in his t-shirt, jeans and beard looking every bit a masculine man telling us he thinks like a woman and lays down fat stores like a women (many, many 11 yo boys have the formation of what seem to be breasts as part of puberty) he’s desperately trying to make sense of himself.

If only he had had the sense to say ‘I don’t adhere to stereotypes, I’m me’ and didn’t appropriate what he sees as womanhood. Don’t subscribe to traditional male stereotypes, do assert your individuality. Don’t say any bit of you is ‘woman’. It isn’t.

nicenewdusters · 19/03/2019 12:07

Maybe he's come up with this one to try and explain to himself why all his relationships seem to crash and burn. He's just too special and interesting to be with a common man or woman, he needs a non-binary unicorn. Oh well, plenty of those around now.

Whatisthisfuckery · 18/03/2019 21:57

DS was Sam Smith mad for years. Last year we took him to a concert and Sam seemed perfectly content to be a gay man then. God knows what’s gone on since. He just seems like a shy confused guy. I wish these genderists would leave people alone. We’re all fine as we are, and identifying as something else won’t make anybody magically lose weight.

This evening I told DS that Sam Smith doesn’t know if he’s male or female, and that he says he thinks like a woman sometimes. DS’s reaction? ‘Oh god,’ with a shrug.

hipsterfun · 18/03/2019 21:38

I'll never look like that because there's a bit of a woman in me who won't let me look like that

Force-feeding you pies, is she?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 18/03/2019 21:26

some bloke

SparklySneakers · 18/03/2019 21:17

Never heard of him. Who is he?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 18/03/2019 20:47

In the words of Shania Twayne... Man I feel like a Woman. Cover version anyone?

MIdgebabe · 18/03/2019 20:44

Well of course he thinks like a woman, since women and men both think in the same way, I think it’s electric or chemical signals around the brain.?

terryleather · 18/03/2019 20:44

Just for once I wish someone would write an article and point out how offensively misogynist these kinds of comments are.

I wish for this too Assassinated, but I'm not holding my breath...
