Paedophile at Drag Queen Story Time

Houston Public Library is apologizing after a man charged for sexually assaulting a child was allowed to entertain children at Drag Queen storytime.

Garza was charged with child sex assault in 2008. According to records, his victim was a child under the age of 14 years old.

And why is a library allowing this? Although we have primary school headteachers in the UK inviting drag queens into their schools to read to children so I suppose I shouldn't really be surprised Sad

That clip - sexualised 'twerking' in front of little children and demanding hugs from them. Was this the convicted paedophile or one of the other drag queens? It's not clear.

Why not have story time with people of all types - disabled, deaf (with an interpreter), blind, old, young, stutter... people who may find they get stared at, abused or condescended to because people are ignorant.

I wouldn’t want to write that job as but still...

Drag isn’t really suitable for kids. Any acts I have seen have been filthy, really sweary and full of sexual innuendos. Even Dame Edna!

Have any of you seen the YouTube series "Kids Meet"? Most of them are really good - kids meet a deaf person, a magician, a cop. And then there's . Several of the kids start out markedly uncomfortable or "weirded out" as they put it, unlike all the other episodes. I wonder why that might be? But by the end, they're all totally fine with it. It's normal! And anyone can do drag, says the queen; lots of kids do too!

Erm..... drag queens reading to children? When did that become a “thing”? To me, drag acts are basically for adults. Absolutely fine in one context, but just inappropriate in another. What next? Bondage clubs invite nursery visits?

Clothier was part of the Brighton drag scene for many years and hosted the cabaret tent at Brighton Pride between 2009 and 2011. Hewas filmed at the 2011 Pride making jokes about being a sex offender, saying ‘I’m sweating like a paedophile in Mothercare it’s so hot in here’.

The 37-year-old was caught while en route to what he thought was a liaison with a fellow paedophile and two children aged eight and 11."

Prosecutor Mervyn Burton told the court how Clothier described being constantly aroused while thinking about the children and how he was excited and honoured to meet them, and hoped it would not be “just a one off”.

Officers found a string of child porn images, including 18 cartoon images of fathers abusing their sons, when they raided his Brighton home."
