How can this not ring alarm bells?

Police Scotland has been criticised by women’s rights campaigners after the force was unable to say when it made a decision to allow criminal ­suspects to “self-identify” their gender.

It's interesting that transgenderism isn't a mental illness -and yet so many people who describe themselves as trans have other difficulties, autism being the obvious one.

It's almost as if the two are linked in some way.

So-called "misgendering" is an irrelevance in any UK law.

So-called "deadnaming" is an irrelevance in any UK law. In fact, it is mandated when it relates to the Birth Certificate of any child who has a parent who "transitions" :

"12 Parenthood
The fact that a person’s gender has become the acquired gender under this Act does not affect the status of the person as the father or mother of a child."

She really, really gets it. I initially I was a bit worried that perhaps she held a very narrow view that sex was important for things like the census, but not other things. But no, she really gets it, and I am immensely grateful to her for using her platform to point these things out.
