This one is a tweet with screenshots of 'packers', i.e. plastic penises, for girls under 5 who identify as boys to wear in their pants. (Yes, you read that right. I'd say a trans 3yo is like a vegan cat. We all know who's made that call.)

That led a concerned parent to send them a lot of screenshots from a Facebook group for affirming parents of trans children. First batch are about packers, starting here. twitter.com/4th_WaveNow/status/1104778089974980609

Second batch are about underwear for biological boys designed to minimise bulges in the genital area. (So the opposite of the above.) twitter.com/4th_WaveNow/status/1105542499483955200

Third batch are about binders being worn by biological girls and causing serious respiratory issues. twitter.com/4th_WaveNow/status/1105585448657801217

The whole thing is just sickening. Why isn't anyone sane in authority trying to re-assert normality and put the health and wellbeing of these confused children and teenagers first?

God forbid the UK ever goes the same way.

WTAF have I just read?
Is this the Christian right in unholy alliance with woketopia?
It sounds like Hell.

No. Words.

LangCleg · 13/03/2019 09:50

Teaching a child to dissociate from its body is about the biggest red flag of safeguarding you can get. These parents are inducing dysphoria.

CaptainMarvelBunting · 13/03/2019 09:50

I think I might have to keep bumping this thread all fucking day. Your son discovers masturbation and wants to come off the medication you've organized for him that stunts his physical and sexual development, and you object?? What are you, the worst and weirdest Catholic in the world?!Angry

TowelNumber42 · 13/03/2019 09:38

It is astonishing that child services in the US are not all over these abusive parents.

GColdtimer · 13/03/2019 09:34

I thought I'd seen it all until I read that thread. I am utterly horrified. Those poor poor kids.

Datun · 13/03/2019 09:32

The only relief these children are getting is when every adult around them is praising them and telling them how wonderful they are. It's an artificial environment.

One that is supported and promoted by places like GIRES, with their bloody penguins and celebration parties. Like Jazz Jennings' penis cake.

They force a situation on a child, because they crave affirmation/attention themselves, but that affirmation is few and far between.

And yes, it's highly abusive and they belong in prison.

And the really awful part, as someone else mentioned, is it too late for these kids. As soon as they realise what their parents did, their mental health will disintegrate.

I'm not often shocked, but dear God, the way those parents are talking is insane.

beenandgoneandbackagain · 13/03/2019 09:28

Given that there seems to be a strong link between children who have been sexually abused and go on to identify as trans, I think it is REALLY BLOODY OBVIOUS why the parents are pushing their children to wear fake penises.

GoldenWonderwall · 13/03/2019 09:15

Munchausens has been redefined as fabricated illness disease. Perhaps as some things aren’t classed as a health issue as such, the behaviour of parents that could be considered munchausens by proxy slips under the radar as it’s not seen as fabricating an illness? Either way, not listening to your dc when they say they don’t want to take unnecessary medication/surgery is appalling and unjustifiable.

TowelNumber42 · 13/03/2019 09:02

This one is chilling. An 8yo "girl" is terrified of her upcoming surgeries and her mother wants advice. None of the advice is WTAF, stop, I'm calling social services.

barelove · 13/03/2019 08:40

has anyone else found a way to deal with something like this??

Yes. Listen to your child and go and get your head examined

LuvSmallDogs · 13/03/2019 08:40

“Help me repress my teen boy’s sexuality”! I can’t be doing with this shit anymore. I used to think munchausens by proxy was overblown, an extreme thing that was overdiagnosed to batter concerned mothers with. My own mum was initially dismissed when taking a baby to hospital with what turned out to be whooping cough and later told she was “neurotic” when chasing help with what turned out to be cerebellar hypoplasia in my sister, so I know that it can happen.

But damn, if transing kids hasn’t brought out the kooks wanting to pathologise and attention whore on the backs of their own babies.

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 13/03/2019 08:38

it's all about aesthetics

that's why you put young children on hormone blockers, then cross sex hormones

so when they can have the chop, they'll finally look like the beautiful daughter you always dreamed of

the parent who posted that belongs in prison. I am not fucking jocking

SpringIsHereEarly · 13/03/2019 08:38

It is clear that certain parents do not want their children to grow up and have sex lives - perhaps they would prefer them to stay little children forever.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 13/03/2019 08:33

I read some of those, and those poor children. In so many of the screenshots the agenda is obviously being pushed by the parents, sometimes against the child's wishes Shock

How does a parent get such a twisted view of normality?

ComputerSaysMo · 13/03/2019 08:33

That screenshot epitomises the problem I have always had with medicalising “trans kids.” The prospect of allowing anyone to disrupt, interfere with, or actually block a child’s growth into their adult sexuality is horrific. There is no “progressiveness” to any movement that permits that.

Datun · 13/03/2019 08:32

God, this is almost worse than everything else.

The leaked reports from the Tavistock certainly showed how certain parents were behind their child's transition. And it's suspected in the case of Jazz Jennings, and certainly Susie Green.

But this is a whole new level. This is really using your child as some sort of prop or play thing.

SpringIsHereEarly · 13/03/2019 08:28

So wait, I'm trying to get my head round this one Gabrielle - so, is that a boy, on oestrogen who wants to stop taking it because it interferes with him 'self- pleasuring'? And the parent is in opposition? WTAF

GabrielleNelson · 13/03/2019 08:08

I think this might be the worst yet. What's gone wrong with parents who can think like this? Two years ago, so with luck that kid held out till 18 and has now thought better of the whole thing and is getting on with life without taking hormones and without having had surgery.twitter.com/4th_WaveNow/status/1105667219814526976

This is so disturbing. I told my friend, not a MN or up with any of this, and yes her first reaction was I had to be joking. The non binary parent discussing Theybies and childism with Piers Morgan opened her mind to the very crazy ideology further, but this is truly messed up and I can’t understand anyone who thinks it’s ok. I just don’t even have the words.

Lang, not Language, of course. Thank you, autocorrect.

Captain, that's a very interesting point. 8000 members that Facebook has. 8000 parents, for the most part, I assume, but I wonder how that can be checked. The very mildest word I could apply to the ones in the screenshots is misguided. Why aren't the professionals stepping in to stop them doing this stuff instead of facilitating it? 'First, do no harm' seems to have gone out of the window.

OP posts:
CaptainMarvelDanvers · 13/03/2019 06:32

I think it would be really interesting to see if the stats for people diagnosed with Munchausens-by-proxy have gone down in recent years.

Iused2BanOptimist · 13/03/2019 02:35

If I ever see a child wearing one of these I shall report it to social services. It's utterly disgusting.

At a practical level I would think these would be very uncomfortable and given that it is hard enough to teach a young child to wipe their bottoms properly, flush the loo and wash their hands, I think they must be incredibly unhygienic. I would expect chaffed skin and localised infections such as thrush and probably uti's.

OccasionalKite · 13/03/2019 00:20

Putting small children into bondage gear.

Utterly sick.

Datun · 13/03/2019 00:20

I agree sunlight is key. But also the conduit to get it out there. Could anyone tweet this info to Sharron Davies? She has several children, I believe.

That awful pink haired woman and these penis packers have been doing the rounds for a couple of years. This scandal has been exposed, albeit not quite so comprehensively, but not the means to get it out there.
