I'm a woman.

Im not a black woman because I'm not black.

I'm not a disabled woman because I'm not disabled.

I'm not a transwoman because I'm not male.

It's pretty easy really Rach.

0ccamsRazor · 11/03/2019 10:24

Is he not saying wtf at some knob called McKinnon talking out of their hairy manly scrotty arse

littlbrowndog · 11/03/2019 10:20

Black women are women Asian women are women Irish women are women and so on
One thing we all have in common is we are women
Wtf indeed
The cyclist saying that black women are a subset of women or not even women

MNSDKHheroines · 11/03/2019 10:19

It's a brilliant response. Emotion & succint. No-one is going to try and reply to that with an academic lecture on T levels.

FaithFrank · 11/03/2019 10:16

Linford, a black man, has correctly identified the racism in McKinnon's assertion.

Black people are normally more aware of racism than white people ('oversensitive' Hmm) because they have experienced it themselves.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 11/03/2019 10:13

Oh and I take that back too - I'm the idiot for not seeing who made the comment in the first place.

Yes, Linford - WTF indeed.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 11/03/2019 10:12

Can we just leave all the misunderstanding bollocks and concentrate on the beauty of the WTF

I feel the awesome brevity of linfords comment is being lost in recriminations

(Im exaggerating...linford seems very much like monosyllabic ds2 Grin)

LuggsaysNotaWomen · 11/03/2019 10:12

A black woman literally birthed humanity into existence which is the epitome of femaleness. But black women are a bit male now cos trans?

Fuck off McKinnon you racist shit lord.

RockyFlintstone · 11/03/2019 10:11

I'm another one who was confused as to how anyone could take his WTF as anything other than 'WTF is Rachel McKinnon on about?'

I can see now what Melroses thought he meant, but I'm pretty sure he is WTFing at McKinnon being a total douche.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 11/03/2019 10:10

I wasn't aware that women of colour were naturally endowed with a good percentage more of muscle, heart & lung capacity and better bone density?
If someone can tell me that they all are, then Linford has a point.
If not, then Linford is an idiot.

GeorgeTheBleeder · 11/03/2019 10:10

I don't suppose there are many black men on MN. So I guess not many here can imagine how outraged you'd feel to read that your mother, sisters, daughters are not proper women - just allowed in the same space as proper women for political ease ...

I'm amazed that anyone misunderstood LC's exclamation.

(I'm female btw - obscure Archers thread namechange.)

I think Linford may have just correctly identified that McKinnon is talking out of McKinnons arse.

Peaks!

VladmirsPoutine · 11/03/2019 10:04

Precisely, this notion of him being not quite a bright spark, perhaps thick and indeed over-sensitive to the inherent racism. WTF indeed.

charlestonchaplin · 11/03/2019 10:03

You've left me questioning your intelligence Melroses, not Linford's, because your interpretation and subsequent explanation are pretty poor.

BelleHathor · 11/03/2019 10:00

Yep , I have my popcorn ready 😁😁 RmK is the peakiest peaker of bringing people to the peak of WTF!

FizzyGreenWater · 11/03/2019 09:56

Heh heh come on Rachel, you're doing a great job. Peak us up baby!

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 11/03/2019 09:53

Mine's always in the gutter where Linford is concerned

Dh met him once

He is a man mountain...and dh is on the smaller size Grin

Mankyfoot · 11/03/2019 09:52

Oops I didn't read properly sorry!

OP posts:
Melroses · 11/03/2019 09:51

Quick to label Linford as oversensitive about racism and not 'the brightest of sparks'. You, however, merely got things the wrong way round, when it was bleeding obvious what he was on about! Pray tell. How else could that reaction be taken?

I've done that.

Mankyfoot · 11/03/2019 09:51

charlestonchaplin · 11/03/2019 09:50

Melroses
Is that a knee jerk reaction because someone mentioned black women? He does not seem the brightest of sparks. Does he not see what this means for black women athletes?

OunceOfFlounce · 11/03/2019 09:50

Thanks for adding those responses to this thread BelleHathor, they're amazing.

MrsWinkly · 11/03/2019 09:49

ILoveMaxi
I read it the same way as you.
'WTF?' is the right reaction to Rachel generally.
