That should’ve been ‘tee hee’ but autocorrect knows it’s stuff.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 14/03/2019 20:28

As in ‘noone knows I wasn’t born female tee her’. Ok so...

EcclesThePeacock · 14/03/2019 20:12

passing privilege’.

What, overtaking women riders?Confused

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 14/03/2019 20:09

I’m still giggling about their pronouncement today on twitter about their ‘passing privilege’.

Needmoresleep · 14/03/2019 19:47

I wonder whether RM buys their own bikes. If not, who supplies them.

ixqik · 14/03/2019 19:44

womdering idly about the style of RMs bike seat

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 14/03/2019 17:30

I’m wanting a unicycle now.

teyem · 14/03/2019 17:26

I'm so slow when I type. Grin

teyem · 14/03/2019 17:25

Unless you have a fixed gear bike, then you can go backwards and distract the onlookers with clever tricks.

MillytantForceit · 14/03/2019 17:23

AKA a 'Fixie' or fixed wheel single gear, very popular with the wokey-blokeys with porridge in their beards.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 14/03/2019 17:21

Unless you are in Holland. That’s how you stop your bike.

EcclesThePeacock · 14/03/2019 17:20

Backpedalling gets you nowhere.

CallMeWoman · 14/03/2019 17:03

backpedalling furiously!

I see what you did there.Grin

MillytantForceit · 14/03/2019 12:48

They don't have a clue and the NBC Olympic coverage is no help. They actually re-edit the races to show the yank still in contention when they've been lapped.

"Dame" would make them think of South Pacific. Barack Obama in Belfast famously welcomed "Damm Mary Peters..."

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 14/03/2019 12:47

backpedalling furiously!

Needmoresleep · 14/03/2019 12:44

Specialized has not replied to my email either.

I think they will keep quiet, as they should have done in the first place.

I am imagining a conversation between some woke Californians and their British colleagues. The former are smug at having been so quick to respond to a report of transphobia. Their British colleagues then phone up.

'But this is Dame Kelly Holmes..'
'Who is Dame Kelly Holmes. She is a transphobe.'
'She is a National Treasure. If you mess with/bully Dame Kelly, we will be stone dead in the British market. Most people here agree with her.'

So the only action will be inaction.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 13/03/2019 20:12

Just keep emailing them - ‘we still see you’

Theblueplanet · 13/03/2019 19:49

I emailed Kelly last week with my support and thanks for standing up for women and girls and got a email reply thanking me! Am just a bit star struck Grin

I'd copied in those idiots at Specialized, how disappointing that they seem to be hoping we'll all forget about it (bit like Penny Mordaunt!)

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 13/03/2019 18:34

I wonder if the same person is driving the account? Did they get back to the whinger?

Manderleyagain · 13/03/2019 18:33

Kelly tweeted something earlier today which shows she hasn't heard from the bike company, and they don't seem to have said anything public. They've started tweeting from the account again after it was silent for a bit.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 13/03/2019 15:13

Have the bike company made any comment? Has Kelly said if they have spoken to her or her agent?

Hands up anyone who would want to but one of their bikes? I do wonder what their bike seats are like (since they cant tell the difference between mens bums and womens bums)

EweSurname · 13/03/2019 12:25

After tweeting about looking into Kelly Holmes, iamspecialized remained silent for 5 days before taking up tweeting again.

No mention of Kelly Holmes though.

Lamaha · 13/03/2019 02:51

ALL FPFW Facebook posts are public, so even if you haven't got a FB account evertyone can still see their latest updates.

Lamaha · 13/03/2019 02:39

@JessicaWakefieldsSVH and others: it's a public post so you don't have to be on Facebook to read it.
This is the FB link: www.facebook.com/fairplayforwomen/

OrchidInTheSun · 12/03/2019 20:37

Sorry, that sounds v po-faced! Just that it was a good thread and I think you could repost (unless MN has said you can't post the link?)

I got a thread deleted a couple of weeks ago because I talked about the trans cult. Well I think that's why. They never told me so it's a bit of a mystery
