Two giant transwomen discuss how males bodies don't provide a sporting advantage. Hats off to Abigail for keeping calm against the lunacy.

"In the summer of 2018, I reached a UCI Elite world ranking of 90th in the sprint event."

The problem with saying stuff like that, is that it is easily checked using the UCI World ranking tables.
This link will not show McKinnon's name present anywhere. Make the usual adjustments, as it defaults to Men and 2019.

Oh I hadn't heard "McKinnon Move" before Grin That's very good!

Manchester in October.
Perhaps someone in the cycling world can keep us updated regarding which days spectators should attend.

I think RM sounds intelligent because they are confident and believe thy are right but really is talking a load of nonsense and that really could be seen towards the end of the interview.

I really want to see them debating a GC feminist - they would fall apart!

ToeToToe · 27/02/2019 09:36

The size difference between the transwomen and the woman will not have escaped the notice of the viewers.

Rachel has set arguments, that Rachel spews all over twitter and the media - but personally I found Abigail's arguments far more compelling.

And the evidence of the viewers' own eyes did not deceive them - Rachel and that power lifter have a clear biological advantage over women. They should not be competing with women.

From McKinnon's website www.rachelmckinnon.com/

I am one of the only transgender world champions in any sport. I achieved this in my 2018 UCI Masters Track Cycling gold medal in the Women 35-44 Sprint event in Los Angeles.

In the summer of 2018, I reached a UCI Elite world ranking of 90th in the sprint event. My goal is to compete for Canada in the 2020 and 2024 Olympics. This might make me the first out transgender Olympian.

Interested that someone who competes in the opposite sex they were born to and asserts this gives them - a natal male - no advantage, published in 2015:
The Norms of Assertion: Truth, Lies, and Warrant.

This book is about the norms of the speech act of assertion. This is a topic of lively contemporary debate.....Whenever we make claims like this, we’re asserting. The central question here is whether we need to know what we say, and, relatedly, whether what we assert must be true.

I'll say....... Hmm

happydappy2 · 27/02/2019 09:12

I watched that interview in full, the visuals are fantastic, people born male should compete against other males. That doesn’t stop them living as their authentic selves & presenting as female.
A mans human rights do not mean that they have the right to compete against women. The IOC really needs to get their guidelines & rules in order, to prevent further abuse of them.

littlbrowndog · 27/02/2019 08:54

Most people have been mass blocked by McKinnon even that they have never tweeted McKinnon.

What is McKinnon frightened off ?

rosablue · 27/02/2019 08:52

Hope Abigail tells RMcK that they should be the one to delete their account for actively saying she was deliberately bullying her.

It’s obviously true otherwise she would have been able to give an answer instead of demanding that she silence her twitter account. Sounds like somebody is scared and doesn’t want her to be able to say anything...

NotTerfNorCis · 27/02/2019 08:41

'Delete your account '? Can you imagine if feminists routinely treated TRAs that way?

Iused2BanOptimist · 27/02/2019 08:26

I actually wonder if they are using RM on purpose to polarise the debate. Rachel has done more for the cause than Rachel can ever appreciate. A one person wake up call.

Fazackerley · 27/02/2019 08:19

What we need is someone like Gabby Logan

Fazackerley · 27/02/2019 08:18

Yes that's pathetic. But we need interviewers who actually challenge this.

EweSurname · 27/02/2019 08:14

Not when McKinnon refuses to debate those that are likely to effectively challenge eg Nic Williams

Fazackerley · 27/02/2019 08:14

And I don't think bleating on about the size difference helps tbh. That tweet from Abigail was ill judged.

Remember how much interviewers loved Caitlyn Jenner? I imagine RK will be much the same. Big brother here she comes.

EweSurname · 27/02/2019 08:13

I find it striking how a transwoman (by definition - someone who is a man biologically though they seek to be treated socially as a woman) has no qualms over the optics of commanding the silencing of a woman.

Fazackerley · 27/02/2019 08:10

I think rk will do well on telly. She's confident and brash and sounds intelligent. And people hate feminists.

I can't stand McKinnon and think she's a bully and a cheat, but interviewers love her because she's very focused on what she's saying. It won't change until a similarly forceful, celeb women sportperson takes her down. Which I can't see happening.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 27/02/2019 08:07

Gosh i only read Abigails bit

Delet your account???

And once again guidelines prevent me from anything further

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 27/02/2019 08:06

Thank you ewe

In that case RK behaviour was even worse than i thought

littlbrowndog · 27/02/2019 08:05

McKinnon telling a woman what to do because she dared to defy McKinnon

Ffs what a bully

EweSurname · 27/02/2019 08:01

She implied it

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 27/02/2019 07:52

Has Abigail said she was intimidated?

Its just in conversation in a group with someone i cant stand I certainly would avoid any sort of unnecessary engagement with them

Looking at them for example

Oh and that pathetic jaw drop moment Grin what are they 10?

Unable to say anymore about that particular moment due to guidelines Grin

NotTerfNorCis · 27/02/2019 07:44

I know a couple of blokes who both thought they were pro trans ideology. When I mentioned about transwomen in women's sports, they were adamant 'it would never happen'. I said it was already happening. They wouldn't believe me. This is the reason for public apathy - people refuse to see what's going on! I hope this opens their eyes before it's too late. Because the next step after 'it would never happen' might be 'it's been happening for years and that's fine'.

plattercake · 27/02/2019 07:33

I can't stomach watching all that gaslighting.

As mentioned on another thread, if McK thinks there is no difference between a male born person and a woman, someone needs to ask McK if they would happily compete against men or agree to have only one 'open' category for both sexes and if not, why not.

MenstruatorExtraordinaire · 27/02/2019 07:31

Couldn't watch it. Find McKinnon too irritating.

Ah well at least this issue is being discussed. No one I know IRL believed me when I said it was happening so at least this is providing proof that it is.

And no one decent supports it. Just MRAs who are gleeful and TRAs of course
