Does anyone know if this is really true? Apparently TRAs have targeted the bank & complained about them letting FPFW bank with them... so are considering closing their account.

Natwest need to think about this carefully!

No surprise at all to see that the Mars person is at it again on Twitter. That person is always either attacking legitimate women's groups or posting selfies of their arse.

FPFW don't seem too bothered - "water off a duck's back" - but sometimes I wish they'd sue for defamation.

As per link, basically. They tweeted support for Harrop's flounce that got Posie Parker's dictionary definition poster removed.
So hundreds of women cancelled their accounts.

SonicVersusGynaephobia · 09/02/2019 19:22

Appreciate the reminder to donate to FPFW Smile

Bowlofbabelfish · 09/02/2019 19:18

NatWest, should you be reading this... I have accounts with you. All will be closed if you close FPFWs account.

Get woke, go broke indeed

1MillionSelfiesTakenByMyKids · 09/02/2019 19:17

What happened with Ocado?

SonicVersusGynaephobia · 09/02/2019 19:15

Go on, Nat West, cancel their account. Then we will sit back and watch you implode.

ScrimshawTheSecond · 09/02/2019 19:13

OlennasWimple, that account is a parody. A very close-to-the-wind one, but a parody.

FlyingOink · 09/02/2019 19:10

Looks like community accounts aren't offered by all the banks. FPFW might end up out of pocket. Angry

MargueritaPink · 09/02/2019 18:52

Thank you for raising this with us, we'll take it forward. PW

Even if the account in question was say The National Front that is a disgraceful reply. The bank has no business discussing an account holder and client. on Twitter

OlennasWimple · 09/02/2019 18:50

The replies to the NW tweet...

Every time I think that the whole "cis privilege" stuff is over-egged, or no-one actually uses the word "menstruators", I see stuff like this from "Lesbian Paula":

I look forward to see the results of this NatWest. Every single member of this hate group is a member of the privileged & narrowly defined category of cis women or menstruators. What does that tell you about how pro women they really are, when oppressed women are not allowed in?

twitter.com/LesbianPaula

(Who, incidentally, re-tweeted a tweet from someone asking if anyone was interested in reading the "18+ pedo fantasies" Hmm Hmm Hmm And hits the trifecta of being a former Stonewall advisor, fundraiser for Mermaids AND a PhD student at Goldsmiths)

Lemoncakestrudel · 09/02/2019 18:42

Yet again we are told that wanting our own spaces mean we want people dead. Who is it that has been doing violent threats and actions? Ooh was it these TRAs who want to call us hate groups?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 09/02/2019 18:26

I must’ve told at least 100 people about that shower

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 09/02/2019 18:25

Last year the amount of people closing ocado accounts was 100+ so many more people have realised what is going on since then.

GrinitchSpinach · 09/02/2019 18:22

If they do close the account how brilliant will the backlash be?

Right? I sort of fucking dare them to.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 09/02/2019 18:20

My current account, savings accounts and childrens' saving accounts are all with NatWest. I'll be closing them all if they close FPFWs account.

They are above the law.

WeRiseUp · 09/02/2019 18:15

How can it be lawful to do this? To lie about an organisation to their bank like this?

Cooroo · 09/02/2019 18:14

I've messaged them. Digital assistant was bemused so I hope it gets to a human. Hope they don't do this as I've been with them 40+ years and love the app!

Also if it comes to that, avoid Monzo:

WhatHaveYou · 09/02/2019 18:11

Are we going back to 1975, having to ask a man to give permission to have a bank account?

FlyingOink · 09/02/2019 18:08

NatWest and RBS are the same company, just mentioning in case it comes to that

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 09/02/2019 17:48

If they do close the account how brilliant will the backlash be?

BigChocFrenzy · 09/02/2019 17:45

Yet again, TRAs trying to silence women
to take away basic rights of women and feminists
In this case to have a bank account

Those of us with accounts at NatWest should inform them we'll switch banks if they collaborate with TRA bullying of women
