Do you have gender dysphoria?

"Gender dysphoria, or gender identity disorder, is a diagnosis used to describe individuals who exhibit a strong desire to be of the other gender. Take this gender dysphoria test to determine if you have gender dysphoria symptoms that could lead to a diagnosis."

Well I took the test, answered all the (very obvious) questions to indicate that I do not have gender dysphoria and was told

Your answers suggest a mild to moderate indication that you are experiencing symptoms common among people with gender dysphoria

It was such a nonsense test, and like others I deliberately answered as someone who definitely doesn't have a gender dysphoria. Yet I still got the mild to moderate.

I really do hope that all those anonymous results aren't being collated for some research or other. Because otherwise it could be said that of all those who took the test it showed that absolutely everyone is trans.

At the rate things are going, science and sense will be relegated to the corner of a shed somewhere very remote.

I got mild to moderate and I only answered no to the one about feelings and reactions. I am very secure with being a woman. I sometimes like to wear androgynous clothing but it's a fashion choice because of my love of Japan's street fashion,

Yep me (female) and boyfriend (male) both have gender dysphoria apparently even though we answered the questions as being happy with our gender/genitals etc and neither of us being much different than our respective female/male stereotypes and neither of us ever having wanted to change our gender etc etc 🤔🙄

So because I want to be treated like a man would, and I can be uncomfortable in social situations, I must have gender dysphoria?

Well...can I be a trans woman then? I mean yeah I’m already a woman but this says I hate it...I don’t want to change but I’ll like identify as one. That would follow the rules won’t it?

If you also have significant distress or problems functioning you only need to tick two of the six criteria for a gender dysphoria diagnosis (according to DSM V)

Think that sums it up nicely. I also got strong indications. How this can be judged from whatever it was, 6 questions, is beyond me.

Well yes because everyone gets at least a mild-moderate. (Therapists need customers)

But no if you get a 'moderate or strong' indication as the questions are based on the DSM V diagnostic criteria for Gender Dysphoria so it shows how many of us could potentially be diagnosed.

In the UK psychiatrists and psychologists tend to use ICD 10 but the criteria for GIDs is equally as vague in there.

I did it honestly. Mild to moderate.

Then messed around with it a few times, lying about my responses essentially.

Couldn't make it come up as not having gender dysphoria.

I put im happy with everything about being a woman and also that I didn't want to be treated like a man and still got mild to moderate, what a load of shite.
