Well, as Rosa has pointed out, Julie Bindel has been fighting this fight for many years and has managed not to pose with right-wingers, Jordan Peterson or anti-abortionists.
And I have to question the response. If it were me who found out who I was posing with, I would make a quick statement saying I was sorry and had no idea etc, understanding that a Jewish person would be very upset about it. But no, instead she insinuates that Rosa somehow knows this guy. I get the distinct impression that she doesn’t care, but seeing as so many others don’t either, it’s probably not a massive hurdle.

But surely someone intelligent wouldn't fall for anything so obvious?

I dunno. If you get people feeling vulnerable and paranoid, they are easier to control.

Does anyone else remember the couple of posters who would always brigade on any thread where Posie was mentioned doing a kind of good cop bad cop Muslim 'feminist' thing? They would also trundle along to defend WPUKs stupid public denouncing of Posie.

I watched it all unfold on twitter last night.

I did think Rosa had over-reacted, but the info I was able to find suggested that this conference was organised by Alliansen, the political party run by Hans Johansen. He seems to be a sort of Norwegian Farage, only more extreme.

Maybe I was wrong, maybe he was just bandwagon-jumping being there and he wasn't the person who organised it at all.

If that's the case I apologise unreservedly to Posie.

It seems like very odd behaviour from someone who has the mental stability to get a PHD and keep a job.

I can understand Rosa Freedman's sentiments too. But, as a law professor, she must also understand the importance of evidence.

This is now the third time in a fortnight that I have seen people make serious allegations about Posie Parker and then failed to back them up.

It was Rosa Freedman who translated his tweets of 3 years ago to find 'evidence' of his racism.

And it was Rosa Freedman who then used her 'research' to smear Posie.

Anyone who claims that Posie should somehow know that attending a left-wing conference would result in selfies with obscure Norwegian Nazis is either stupid or dishonest. Or both.

To be fair, Rosa is Jewish, so you can understand her sentiments about holocaust denial. Plus PP does seem to keep finding herself in these situations, but I guess she will always have people who are going to explain it away....

I have no personal knowledge of Posie Parker or Rosa Freedman or Venice Allen or any of the academics mentioned.
But I'm fucking sick to death of the endless rehashing of what was meant by certain statements and actions.
They are all women and are all fighting for Female sex based rights to be respected and not to be thrown away.
I have great respect for anyone who has stuck their head above the parapet and has taken the shit that has been dished out.

Rosa Freedman has left Twitter but if I remember correctly, she herself confirmed that the conference was organised by the far left. The last time I looked at her Twitter feed, she had switched to arguing that it was the wrong kind of left.

I don't think there's any way Posie wouldn't know who he was, and if she'd done her homework on Allianse (the political party involved) she would surely have declined this one.

There's the conservative right, who you may not agree with on most issues but can be on-point on others, and there's far-right white supremist modern nazis. This bunch are very much in the second category, as anyone who spends 5 minutes on google can discover.
