The original article was very odd in that it completely avoiding naming the sex of the perpetrator. Well, guess what?

Never happens, of course.

Precisely Angryresister This is what I wrote on a website petitioning the NZ parliament to reconsider passing Self ID as it needed to be assessed first for risks to girls and women.

"This is bad legislation. Women in our society need safe and protected spaces, and if this law passes they will lose them. If an obvious man enters a women's toilet and claims he has a right to be there because he 'self identifies' as a woman what is the legal right of a woman who asks him to leave because she is unsure of his intentions? Could she be arrested for a 'hate crime'?
The problem is knowing that unscrupulous men could use the 'self-identify' provision as a Trojan Horse to attack women and girls in what should be protected spaces, such as toilets, women's refuges and hostels, women only swimming pools etc. It has made me very angry that women have been attacked and vilified for even raising their concerns about the possible unintended consequences of this legislation. Why should we women have the burden of second guessing the intentions of every man who demands entry into a space that should clearly be ours?
Common sense really needs to be applied here. Women who have issues with this proposed legislation do not hate trans gender people, nor would they want them to be discriminated against in terms of their ability to live a full life in their communities, as is pointed out in the preamble to this submission."

And similiar points were made by many of the people who signed the petition.

GrinitchSpinach · 02/02/2019 23:23

AngryI mean, yes, exactly! I can't tell whether you spotted the snark tag or not?

Angryresister · 02/02/2019 23:16

Grinitch...how do we tell the difference?

GrinitchSpinach · 02/02/2019 18:38

Olenna, why are you trying to paint ALL trans people with such a broad brush? /s

OlennasWimple · 02/02/2019 18:36

It never happens. Never.

And then it does, again and again and again.

Incidentally, there is nothing in what has happened here to prevent this offender from applying successfully for a GRC. There is no filter in the GRC application process to weed out those who are a demonstrable threat to women and girls.

MinecraftHolmes · 02/02/2019 17:16

Same here Macaroon. One of them is my local, the other one I pop into on a semi-regular basis if I'm in the other town.

GrinitchSpinach · 02/02/2019 15:15

Argh restrict not restart, autocorrect.

GrinitchSpinach · 02/02/2019 15:15

Oh Macaroon, scary for you! And what bullshit for your daughter: you will have to be on high alert and restart her independence and freedom, because the state refuses to restrict the independence and freedom of this predator.

R0wantrees · 02/02/2019 15:09

Ah yes, you're right. It was the line about "a male voice" which confused me, but I guess a voice can be male, regardless of the sex of its owner

YY, its also the directly reported witness description.

The restrictions on media reporting have considerable implications.

GalacticChickenShit · 02/02/2019 14:57

Ah yes, you're right. It was the line about "a male voice" which confused me, but I guess a voice can be male, regardless of the sex of its owner Wink

Probably an age thing, yeah.

R0wantrees · 02/02/2019 14:52

Can anyone explain why the original article was about a male teenager, he/him etc, yet the recent one is very much she/her pronouns?

The original article used gender neutral descriptors eg the teenager and only included he/him when reporting diect speech of witnesses.

It may be relevent that Dolatowski is now 18 years old?

GalacticChickenShit · 02/02/2019 14:39

And those two poor young girls now know that because of the utter bonkers and dangerous decision to allow self ID, they will always run the risk of bumping into males in public bathroom facilities again, any and every time they use them.
Why don't our girls and women deserve safeguarding?

Can anyone explain why the original article was about a male teenager, he/him etc, yet the recent one is very much she/her pronouns?

RepealTheGRA · 02/02/2019 14:26

How absolutely fucking horrific!

People need to be held to account here, who has enabled Tara’s malevolent influence on LAC children.

The Mum and 10 year old in the article are awesome but they have been badly let down by the authorities. Angry

Macaroonmayhem · 02/02/2019 14:01

One of these is my local supermarket @Grinitch. With a 10yo girl of my own, I’d certainly like to know what they look like.

R0wantrees · 02/02/2019 13:54

Tara Hewitt has demonstrated that she does not understand Safeguarding frameworks or principles. Children and vulnerable adults welfare is compromised by the policies she and other TRAs have influenced.

James Kirkup Spectator lead article 'Trans rights have gone wrong
The new gender orthodoxy allows no room for dissent':
(extract)
"What explains the disproportionate number of girls (child ‘assigned female at birth’, to use the approved term) who are starting a journey that can lead to hormone treatment, then binding and ultimately removing their breasts? Is it possible that this is simply part of a wider crisis of mental health among girls?

I don’t know, and neither do the doctors and scientists who study this issue. If you talk to the clinicians at the Tavistock Clinic in London, the NHS centre for the treatment of gender-variant children, they’ll tell you that all the factors I mentioned may be at work, but the evidence base is still incomplete, that they need more time and data before offering explanations. (They’ll also tell you that quite a lot of the children referred to them as ‘transgender’ will in time ‘desist’ and decide to live in their original gender.)

The government now intends to commission research into all this. You might think that sounds sensible and mundane. You would be wrong.

According to Tara Hewitt, founder of the Trans Equality Legal Initiative (TELI), prominent campaigner for transgender rights and an adviser to numerous public bodies including the NHS, the proposed research is ‘absurd and offensive’. The project should be ‘dropped in the bin — it’s simply not an inquiry that needs to happen,’ Hewitt reckons.

This is the quintessential trans-rights response to scrutiny: even looking for facts about children’s welfare is transphobic. Just accept that trans girls are girls and trans women are women. End of debate." (continues)

QuietContraryMary · 02/02/2019 13:45

It does seem that the likes of Tara Hewitt who literally is paid by the NHS to promote bondage to Macmillan Cancer patients are influencing the affirmation of insane paedophiles that their delusions are reality

No risk of reoffending? Despite the clear escalation from filming to contact? Despite the planning aspect of evading a carer?

The designation of 'Moderate Risk' recognises an individual does present risk of reoffending and determines which measures should be in place.
It is also dynamic so should involve re-assessment and can change.

Sexual Harm Prevention Orders account for the majority of restrictive orders and are intended to protect the public from offenders convicted of a sexual or violent offence who pose a risk of sexual harm to the public by placing restrictions on their behaviour. For example, a SHPO could be used to prohibit an offender from being alone with children under 16. The offender is automatically made subject to sexual offender registration and, if the order is breached, may be liable to a maximum of 5 years imprisonment. The SHPO is specific to the offender and is tailored to manage specific risks.

The term 'carer' is broad, so given his age may have been someone enabling independent life skills etc rather than supervision.
(The nature of his support needs at the time of the assaults are unknown)

Oxytocindeficient · 02/02/2019 13:31

This is insane. Clearly a high risk person that needs to be admitted for extensive therapy and to remove them from society. The girl was very brave. I’m incredibly confused as to why the media or police would be describing them as female given they can’t possibly have a GRC. Will this crime be recorded as having been committed by a female?

Bowlofbabelfish · 02/02/2019 13:28

No risk of reoffending? Despite the clear escalation from filming to contact? Despite the planning aspect of evading a carer?

The victim is a brave girl. The truly awful thing is that she is not safe in toilets any more because there’s no guarantee of this never happening again. And she is highly likely to encounter another Male in there. So even if that male is not intending on harm, harm will be done because it will bring it all back to her.

Brave kid. I’m not surprised the family are furious.

GrinitchSpinach · 02/02/2019 13:00

Are the papers not allowed to publish a photo of this perpetrator? Every parent in the area should know 'Katie's' name and appearance so they can grab their kids and run the other way if they see 'Katie' in their spaces.

R0wantrees · 02/02/2019 12:56

Makes my blood boil that the transgender cult is specifically targeting looked after children

Looked After Children are especially vulnerable, they are more isolated and may have additional higher incident of risk factors including sexual abuse etc.

R0wantrees · 02/02/2019 12:53

But yes no doubt social services have been affirming his right to use the women's toilets. Which led to these assaults on young girls.

Just as all public services have been required to by trans rights activism which prioritises the rights of 'gender identity' over Safeguarding frameworks.

Its a systemic failure which puts girls and vulnerable women at risk from male-pattern abuse and violence.

Popchyk · 02/02/2019 12:53

Thanks for the info, R0wan.

Makes my blood boil that the transgender cult is specifically targeting looked after children.

R0wantrees · 02/02/2019 12:47

Moderate risk of reoffending?

Its a specific risk banding which informs the management of sex offenders:
(extract)
"Risk assessment and management

Over the last 20 years, police have used a risk assessment tool for registered sex offenders that categorised them based their offending history into very high, high, medium or low risk. Risk Matrix 2000 is a static risk assessment based on historical factors shown to be statistically predictive of future sexual offending.

The Active Risk Management System was introduced into policing in 2014. It enables police to look beyond historical factors to dynamic risk factors that are subject to change.

Police risk assessment now involves consideration of risk factors such as opportunity to offend, sexual interests, emotional instability, anti-social influences and negative attitudes towards others or towards rules. As well as protective factors that reduce the risk of offending such as employment, an intimate relationship, a feeling of citizenship, a positive social network and a commitment not to reoffend.

A risk management plan could include action to build in protective factors like helping people into work, developing positive community links or therapy to change behaviour and prevent reoffending. It could also include action to reduce risk factors such as use of orders which might ban unsupervised access to children, place restrictions on internet use or visiting certain places or people." Popchyk · 02/02/2019 12:45

He offended when he was accompanied by a carer. And he offended a month later when he was alone. Seems like very high risk to me.

But yes no doubt social services have been affirming his right to use the women's toilets. Which led to these assaults on young girls.
