Unfortunately the tweet has now been deleted so you can’t see how royally Liam was getting his arse handed to him on Twitter, but here’s the original tweet in case your blood pressure isn’t high enough already today.

notthingontellyagain the tweet says “The posts have been deleted and the incident is being investigated by the Professional Standards Branch” which presumably means it’s a professional and not the public that are being investigated.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 02/02/2019 12:02

Keep it neutral and everything’s they are a winner? Bravo!

NothingOnTellyAgain · 02/02/2019 12:01

they pulled the whole lot

said "offenisve comments"
No indication of whether they refer to the original post or the comments in response

I've read the thread now and they've not been back. Everyone assumes they mean the OP but I think not so fast.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 02/02/2019 11:56

H’sown tweet was deleted though.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 02/02/2019 11:31

So I think there is a possibility they are buying Liam a beer and lining up to have some chats about wrongthink with people who told him off.

NothingOnTellyAgain · 02/02/2019 11:30

When GMP talk about offensive comments and it being investiagted, I imagine they mean the repsonses, rather than Liam's original tweet?

These are the ones who said that women who don't want to get with dick aka lesbians were not welcome in manchesters gay village, after all.

andyoldlabour · 02/02/2019 11:24

"Just a descriptor. Anyone who thinks it is a slur has issues."

It is a pejorative term used to describe women who in any way refuse to go along with the trans agenda.
The people who use the term know full well that it is insulting, so please do not try to be so disingenuous.

Rogueaccountant · 02/02/2019 11:08

“Good for you. But irrelevant to people who do find it offensive.”

Yes, that’s quite apt. Everything I think is irrelevant to those outside my tiny mind, in a way.

It wouldn’t leave us much to discuss, if strictly applied, though.

donajimena · 02/02/2019 11:07

Well I hope 'Liam' soon appears in those stats. I did see the Twitter thread. It was beautiful to see such a handover of ones arse Grin

Beerflavourednipples · 02/02/2019 11:04

Also, horrid misuse of the apostrophe on those documents as well!

Beerflavourednipples · 02/02/2019 11:03

Oh Liam....well done GMP though, I wasn't expecting that actually.

As an aside though, did anyone see these screenshots on that thread from the GMP misconduct outcomes? That is one city police force, in 3 months?!!!!! Is that for real, that can't be normal?

Might be time to update my sticker supply Wink

CuriousaboutSamphire · 02/02/2019 10:18

I liked it too, so much I have already used it look! Grin

Definitely one to remember and use often!

TimeLady · 02/02/2019 10:15

Transwomen are still men is an excellent descriptive statement.

FamilyOfAliens · 02/02/2019 10:10

I struggle to be offended by a made-up acronym used as a word, that I had never heard until recently.

Good for you. But irrelevant to people who do find it offensive.

WokeNotBloke · 02/02/2019 10:06

It’s offensive because of the power dynamic involved, where one group of people think they get to tell me who I am, despite me insisting I am not. Naming people is very powerful. Most people get to name themselves.

I am a feminist. I’m actually not a radical feminist at all. I certainly wouldn’t choose a name that focused on a non belief. Whether transwomen are women or not is central to their identity not mine.

If I have to have a label, I would go for Women-centred Feminist, but even then it’s tautological as feminists are women centred. Others seem to gave settled on gender critical feminists, which I’m not over the moon about, but I can live with it. Terf is definitely a slur 😡

Juells · 02/02/2019 09:56

I don t just believe that people cannot become the opposite sex. I KNOW. So if I say men cannot become women what is exclusionary about that statement?

Some adults must still believe in Santa Claus, it makes as much sense :( But then... a huge number of people seem to believe in angels.

Rogue I don t just believe that people cannot become the opposite sex. I KNOW. So if I say men cannot become women what is exclusionary about that statement?

CuriousaboutSamphire · 02/02/2019 09:41

I think it is because its basic assertion is incorrect. No one wants, or at least wanted, to exclude any trans individual, they exist, they have the right to exist. Notwithstanding the daft and ever popular assertions, their existance is not being denied! Nor are any rights they may have.

Unless of course you think that asserting that transwomen are still men is exclusionary... or that asking that men respect women's dignity and safety is exclusionary.

It is a slur because it is a lie, a foul calumny practised upon any women to whom it is applied! It makes assertions that are not true and blacken her integrity.

Slur it most certainly is and every women should protest its inherent lie!

Rogueaccountant · 02/02/2019 09:25

I struggle to be offended by a made-up acronym used as a word, that I had never heard until recently.

But “Fucking terf! is definitely offensive and “Whack that terf!” is threatening.

LangCleg · 02/02/2019 09:19

I think Liam should be "sentenced" to the "gulag" and be required to attend at least three WPUK meetings to redress his previous indoctrination.

Oxytocindeficient · 02/02/2019 09:15

HandsOffMyRights what a great reply!! Exactly the point!

HandsOffMyRights · 02/02/2019 09:11

This is my favourite reply on the GMPolice feed:

It’s illuminating that ‘TERF’ is just descriptive whereas ‘woman: adult human female’ is hate speech.

FamilyOfAliens · 02/02/2019 09:08

If trans means to move away how come transwomen think they are moving towards womanhood?

Moving away from reality, perhaps?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 02/02/2019 09:08

I’m guessing this is related 😆
