We have to admit, this did not go as planned.

Not what randoms on t'internet chatter about

Seeing her response to Rose Freedman today, I'm not that sure that's entirely true. I take no sides but she really doesn't like people publicly disagreeing with her.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 01/02/2019 14:10

user

Although i agree with the yelling of bundle...repeatedly

I disagree with the pitcging in bit

Someones got to help form the circle of yelling!!

OlennasWimple · 01/02/2019 14:08

Posie is angry about the removal by stealth of women's hard won rights and protections. Not what randoms on t'internet chatter about

HTH

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 01/02/2019 14:06

Yup Rufus

I really hate being manipulated

I'm not very good at dealing with manipulative people, they upset me

the best thing I've found is just to avoid them

Melroses · 01/02/2019 14:05

You think she's in it for the T shirt sales, sue?

So, how lucrative is the T-shirt market these days

userschmoozer · 01/02/2019 14:05

The traditional, accepted method is to loudly announce BUNDEEEEEERLLLL and then pitch in oneself. Not be a knob about it and saunter away whistling innocently with hand in pockets.

Source; Rules of Bundle.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 01/02/2019 14:02

Weird isnt it bernard

Its like some people would like people on the internet to pick a side and have a massive bundle in the playground

(Translation....bundle meant fight in my school)

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 01/02/2019 13:45

for some reason this thread is making me think of this:

Will Posie be angry with us?
userschmoozer · 01/02/2019 13:45

Well thats bound to be the next accusation, isnt it? About how she became a multi squillionaire by flogging t shirts and how evil it is.

ColdBrexitWithMilkForBreakfast · 01/02/2019 13:45

I've not said anything about the whole Posy debate has she's just one person and not really the issue. I do think there is a tendency with English feminist to ignore the risk of getting in bed with right wing American fundamentalists though. And yes, it is privilege, a word I know lots hate here. But it's true. English women aren't worried about losing reproductive rights, they can focus on the trans thing as though it's the only important issue. American women are losing the reproductive rights left right and centre and I for one think doing anything to make these groups look legitimate while knowing it will no way infringe on your life style is unfeminist and wrong. I thought Jean Hatchet was spot on with her blog.

I don't, however, think that means women can't engage with right wing newspapers etc as while I may not agree with them, they are spreading news and should be publishing multiple view points that's their job. also there are no papers that don't piss me off anymore

dragoning · 01/02/2019 13:42

You think she's in it for the T shirt sales, sue? Confused

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 01/02/2019 13:42

when posie comes back to the UK will it be like The Rapture?

do I have to make sure my soul is ready?

help me prepare CamillasTampon, advise me oh wise one!

Juells · 01/02/2019 13:39

I'm presuming as long as she can flog a few T-shirts she'll be happy as larry.

WTF? You think it's all about t-shirts?

Juells · 01/02/2019 13:37

She did nothing wrong. She' wasn't nice, as women should be. Hmm

NotTerfNorCis · 01/02/2019 13:33

sueanddumplings why do you hold Posie up to such high standards of behaviour while you don't condemn TRAs for violence and death threats?

sueanddumplings · 01/02/2019 13:19

Will Posie be angry with us?

That presumes she gave a toss in the first place. I'm presuming as long as she can flog a few T-shirts she'll be happy as larry.

WonderWoman2019 · 01/02/2019 13:16

I'm grateful to Posie and I'm grateful to Jean. Grateful to anyone who sticks their neck out on this, actually. I don't agree 100% with everything either of them has said. Nor do I have to. That in no way diminishes my gratitude towards either of them. Both have achieved a fuckton more for women's rights than I have Blush

At this point I think we just all need to do our best to support the train moving forward because the journey ahead is long and messy. I think it's going to get a lot messier.

ZuttZeVootEeeVro · 01/02/2019 12:53

We see you, poster with horrible username.

BoreOfWhabylon · 01/02/2019 12:49

TRAs desperate to tear Posie down because she and ManFriday have been far more successful getting this batshittery into the public eye in a few short months than anyone else.

Posie and ManFridays are the small boy who points to the naked Emperor.

MsMcWoodle · 01/02/2019 12:40

Yes. This thread on twitter is good. I'm not sure it has the Bristol Jam Jar episode in it though.

Don't forget also, that Posie is being criticised by people who ally with Aimee Challoner, Jess Bradley, Morgane Ogre, Sarah Brown, Dr Haddock, Shon Faye, Paris Hilton, Munroe Bergdorf etc etc etc

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 01/02/2019 12:40

Oh dont be silly

Honestly

I doubt she cares about what a bunch of randoms think

I know I don't

NotTerfNorCis · 01/02/2019 12:29

I'm genuinely bewildered by the reaction to this.

Look at some of the things TRAs have done:

Beaten up a woman trying to attend a feminist meeting.

Donned balaclavas and blocked the stairs at another feminist meeting.

Paraded in shirts with the slogan I Punch Terfs, soaked in mock blood. Paraded with baseball bats, some wrapped in barbed wire, saying they will use them against 'terfs'.

Threatenef women online; saying they want to put GC feminists 'in the morgue'.

Tried to hound academics out of their jobs. Urinating on an academic's door.

Look at what Posie did:

Talked to some people with conservative views.

Held a brief public protest against a powerful individual, during which no one was threatened, obstructed or attacked.

Yet Posie gets the global condemnation. It really shows where the power lies.

InSightMars · 01/02/2019 12:29

I don’t care if PP is angry with me, she’s not my boss or my mother or my spokesperson. She’s hobnobbing with a bunch of homophobic, misogynistic, religious wingnuts who are a far worse threat to women’s rights and with more political wherewithal to effect devastating rollbacks to those rights than the TRAs. You’re known by the company you keep. Oh, we have common cause on trans issues? You don’t employ a tiger to protect your sheep from the wolf.

Should also add that the cynic in me smells an opportunity to sell a lot of ‘adult human female’ t shirts. The fact that PP’s new friends will accessorize these with MAGA hats should give some here pause. She can doorstep who she likes, how she likes and where she likes but don’t pretend she’s doing me or any of us any favours when she’s doing the opposite.

dragoning · 01/02/2019 12:23

Huh? 'Us'? Who are you talking about? Women agree and disagree on stuff. Not news to Posie or to any other woman.

Posie's primary focus appears to be the safeguarding of girls. From men in women's spaces and from a pathway that leads to irreversible mutilation and permanent sterility.

I doubt she will care about whether other adults find her methods agreeable.

MsMcWoodle · 01/02/2019 12:22

Just saw this. I wonder who has complained about it:
