Powerlifting federation states that 'male development' due to androgens in puberty creates irreversible advantages

This follows this cheating piss-taker, JayCee Cooper:

www.citypages.com/news/powerlifting-federation-doubles-down-on-policy-excluding-trans-women/505092342

JayCee joined the shit-tier cheats powerlifting federation, USPA Powerlifting

www.uspa.net/

This allows competitors to take steroids.

JayCee is very proud of setting the 'state record' for women in the cheats lifting federation: www.instagram.com/p/BtHkZavluSv/

USA Powerlifting, meanwhile has stated that transgender women, aka biological males, competing with biological females is completely contrary to their ban on the use of steroids (aka male sex hormones) by both sexes.

"The first has to do with the use of testosterone or other androgens, commonly used to assist in transition from female to male. By virtue of the anabolic nature of these compounds, they are not allowed, nor is a Therapeutic Use Exemption granted for such use for anyone. This applies to any and all medical conditions which might be treated through use of androgens.

The second area involves the participation of male to female competitors. Through analysis the impact of maturation in the presence naturally occurring androgens as the level necessary for male development, significant advantages are had, including but not limited to increased body and muscle mass, bone density, bone structure, and connective tissue. These advantages are not eliminated by reduction of serum androgens such as testosterone yielding a potential advantage in strength sports such as powerlifting.

The IPF added acceptance of the International Olympic Committee Guidelines on inclusion of transgender individuals in competition. However, the IOC Guidelines also allows sports to determine the impact on fair play through such inclusion. The IPF Medical Committee, while respecting the rights of those who choose to transition, has been consistent in its opinion that use of testosterone and participation of male to female transgender athletes in our sport compromises fair play."

This is clear and straightforward common sense obvious to anyone who isn't completely hard of thinking - no amount of blockers, contraceptive pills, whatever, a mature adult male can take, will reverse his formed male skeleton & body.

Anyone has watched literally almost any other sport would realise the same principles invariably apply.

I guess all the girls will have to join the US armed forces then
...where they are extremely vulnerable to sexual assault.

I can't see the gender identity movement as anything other than a massive regressive backlash to the modest gains women have achieved in the past thirty or forty years.

I guess all the girls will have to join the US armed forces then, there's no other option for affordable tertiary education in the US.
What a shitty situation. Sad

GrinitchSpinach · 08/02/2019 14:51

Just came across this depressing map of the US color-coded by how easy it is for male students in grades K-12 to compete in female categories. It bears repeating that athletic scholarships are an important route to financing a college education in the US, and that a college education is one of the best routes out of poverty in this country.

Male people winning high school sporting competitions in female categories are starting to be courted by universities. Girls lose out not only on team camaraderie and the glory of top-level achievement, but actual cash money and opportunities.

McKinnon interviewing Cooper, note Cooper had only been lifting a year at the time of the interview but had broken a state record already:

Ilhan Omar, the freshman Democrat from Minnesota, who emigrated from noted sex-equality and women's safety paradise Somalia, has taken up the cause of poor picked-upon JayCee Cooper

"discriminatory, unscientific policy "

She obviously didn't spend much time learning basic biology then.

MagicMix · 08/02/2019 12:20

But do bears shit in the woods or is this just outdated prejudice? Perhaps shit is a social construct?

MillytantForceit · 08/02/2019 12:17

The IOC are currently waiting on the CAS ruling on Caster Semena's appeal against their new rules for limiting Testosterone levels in female competitors.

Once that comes in, we'll see the colour of ther metal.

StoatofDisarray · 08/02/2019 11:47

As a weightlifter myself, I am absolutely de-fucking-lighted to see this!

feelingverylazytoday · 08/02/2019 07:25

This woman is a disgrace, and I hope she loses her seat.

QuietContraryMary · 07/02/2019 21:49

Lol @ hoping any Democrat will do anything other than shill for TRAs

Ok my fellow Americans who had high hopes at the election of so many new female Democrats to Congress in November:

Ilhan Omar, the freshman Democrat from Minnesota, who emigrated from noted sex-equality and women's safety paradise Somalia, has taken up the cause of poor picked-upon JayCee Cooper:

“I urge you to reconsider this discriminatory, unscientific policy and follow the example of the International Olympic Committee. The myth that trans women have a ‘direct competitive advantage’ is not supported by medical science, and it continues to stoke fear and violence against one of the most at-risk communities in the world,” Omar continued.

AnneHutchinson · 01/02/2019 17:52

If the US Equality Act is passed, they won’t be able to maintain this.

andyoldlabour · 01/02/2019 14:52

McKinnon holding court, surrounded by fawning people, discussing how "Testosterone does not cause toxic masculinity". Well, obviously the learned McK seems to have overlooked the fact that testosterone is a naturally occurring steroid, and have they never heard of "roid rage", where lifters and body builders who use steroids (as well as doped athletes) become violent and have extreme mood swings?

FactsAreNotMean · 01/02/2019 14:38

Is it self delusion or arrogance?

"Of course there's no advantage which comes from being male-born, it's just due to my excellent technique and training"

OlennasWimple · 01/02/2019 14:19

McKinnon has incredible levels of self-delusion if they really do believe that there is no evidence whatesoever that men have a natural physicla advantage over women at power lifting

BettyDuMonde · 01/02/2019 00:47

i very much suspect that there are trainers/coaches actively on the look out for MtF trans athletes. A couple of Hannah Mounceys on the team will be seen as a bonus amongst those who care more about winning than they do about women.

I’m hoping that Martina Navratilova and Judy Murray have joined forces to bend the ears of every sporting professional they can collectively muster up a contact for.

/puts USA Powerlifting on the nominations list for the FWR awards 2019.

BlindYeo · 31/01/2019 23:46

This is great news.

I only hope it encourages other sporting bodies to step up and say the same.

I'm still flabbergasted that the IOC etc appear to know nothing about the advantages conferred for life by being born male.

But it is only 'appear'. Nobody really believes it, it's all just shittery and wokeness, with a bit of a 'fuck you' to women in the mix. Whenever anything appears in the media, it's amazing how many lunks turn up in the comments to go "ha ha ha ha women wanted equality they don't like it when they get it".

AnyOldPrion · 31/01/2019 19:34

Oh how I dislike McKinnon

Polite and succinct. McKinnon certainly has some qualities that are difficult to appreciate!

It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the Olympics. I should imagine if there are many transwomen competing in weight lifting, there might be booing from the audience. Cheats tend to be unpopular with most of the general population.

HermioneWeasley · 31/01/2019 19:33

Heartening to see common sense applied

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 31/01/2019 19:31

This won’t do down well. Oh no.

Doobigetta · 31/01/2019 19:29

I hope USA Powerlifting can find the time to provide McKinnon with the sources they’ve asked for. It’s a sensible question that deserves a comprehensive response.
