Banner Drop on M32 Bristol Saturday to mark the beginning of stand up for women week. How can I send you photo and small film of public reaction?

The best way to put up a photo OP is to directly upload it. You can put a link to a video in a post as well. Be aware that some uploaded stuff can contain data that links to you, so make sure wherever your link leads is anonymised, as also clearly safe (many of us won’t click on links that don’t go to places we recognise.)

I am really tired of this religious right / usa women stuff.

The whole point of feminism is that WOMEN have particular issues specific to their sex and a shared history of oppression specific to their sex and shared biology and experiences relating to that, many of which are pretty shit. The nature and severity of this oppression varies in severity across teh world and across time but it all comes from teh same root and WOMEN have an understanding of this stuff that men do not. This is why we need representation.

The fact that women of different stripes and beliefs all seem to thikn that the words woman / girl are being taken from us without our consent and that this is not trivial, says something doesn't it. And not what some people want it to say.

When right and left wing women AGREE that something is bad then well, it's probablu bad, right?

I am also waiting for my cheque though.

Actually, the banner is funded by thousands of women like me - a crusty old leftie. But if it makes you feel better to think it’s right wing extremists, rather than many, many women like me, crack on.
