Previously:
Posie is bad, bad and bad.
Sodastream's are under whelming
We need to be nice for the bigger boys to like us.
Camp Coffee is revolting
Evidence is never presented for why our leader and saviour is bad.
Mr frosty is crap, all agree
TimeLady's mum made a camp Coffee cake back in the day.
Also a coffee kisses recipe is found.
The alt-right are mentioned a lot.
Paul McCartney gets a mention
So does Terry Pratchett's discworld.
Mr Fruity is remembered and discussed.
Nazi's were mention by early.
We were told we "need a common enemy"
(Why we need this is presently unknown.)

And now the exciting conclusion....

Meghan has just put it beautifully - I paraphrase:

"I'm not going to become anti-abortion or anything like that, but I am willing to discuss this with anyone who wants to talk".

Brava.

Bubonicpanic · 27/01/2019 19:35

Did you watch any of the meeting you are here whining about Earlywalker?

They are talking right now about this left right issue. The left hasn't done anything to help or listen, they are being awful. Fuck them. Thats not productive.

You might have learned something.

but isn't coffee just as vegan as chicory?

Depends on excluding all forms of who/what may have been exploited in the growing /processing for maximum woke points - but the same could apply to chicory.....

lisamuggeridge · 27/01/2019 19:33

I had a vegan lemon cheesecake in Brighton, it was provocation. Really. I had to swallow it and I paid 2.99 for it and then they gave me goats milk for my tea. You are minimising dynamics between groups in pursuit of false coherence and therefore you should be excommunicated.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 27/01/2019 19:32

I agree flying

Ive had some lovely vegan food

FlyingOink · 27/01/2019 19:31

I had steak and chips though so leave me out of it

FlyingOink · 27/01/2019 19:30

That's just racist against vegans

womanformallyknownaswoman · 27/01/2019 19:29

this is why we dont ask vegans for advice about pudding or baking.

Captainkirkspookyghost
Vegan baking = trans baking.

A nation who will accept vegan cheesecake and brownies are vulnerable

Maybe this is the breakthrough we've been waiting for - something around which all sides can agree - the common ground....

boom boom

TinselAngel · 27/01/2019 19:27

Sorry I've been busy on the Dancing on Ice thread, but isn't coffee just as vegan as chicory?

FlyingOink · 27/01/2019 19:27

Can't we just have tea instead?

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 27/01/2019 19:26

I suspect the sale of Camp Coffee are going to increase.
My work here is done.

Chicory first appeared as a substitute for coffee in France, when Napoleon imposed a coffee blockade against the British, leaving the whole of Europe without coffee … the bounder! Imagine, no coffee. If that were to happen today, the world would surely grind to a halt....

As previously mentioned, chicory has been used for centuries for its health benefits.

The root contains anti-parasitic properties. It also has a high insulin content. The prebiotic soluble carbohydrate the herb contains can be beneficial for your intestinal health and can help with weight loss. Chicory can also help to reduce cholesterol.

Much of the insulin content of chicory is converted to sugar during the roasting process, thus mellowing the flavor of the finished grounds. However, chicory root can still help to lower blood sugar and help stabilize diabetes.

It's a miracle - a new superfood - I now see opportunities in Brexit - corner the coffee substitute market - bring back that British Bulldog spirit there was a great and genuine community of spirit in wartime Britain which often transcended class and other barriers - oh wait many are already there with austerity.....

But still good business opportunity ....

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 27/01/2019 19:24

I think your saying it wrong captain

I think it should be more

Did we Ever Find Out Why...

And then maybe look a bit musey...

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 27/01/2019 19:22

Did we ever find out why people holding different opinions were wrong and should be silenced?

I have seen no evidence that the British left are capable of thought so this is not news.

In fact...
"The man"
"The woman"
And about 50 shoppers will ring the polove

OP posts:
CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 27/01/2019 19:10

Although don't get a megaphone and shout it out in the town centre, "the man" doesn't like it.

LangCleg · 27/01/2019 19:09

Because what passes for the left now are a bunch of children who have no understanding of dialectical materialism, no experience of organising within a mass movement where you inevitably meet people who disagree with you, and no strategy for winning those people over beyond shouting at them and trying to get them sacked from their jobs.

Pretty much.

FlyingOink · 27/01/2019 19:08

These people don’t care about woman, they care about ejecting their religious or bigoted predjudice into the public eye in an ‘openly acceptable’ way.
Feminists aren't openly acceptable though. Feminists are "uncool", "stuck in the past", and probably "hairy". They "hate men", because they "can't get one". They're "bitter".
How is this deeply unsaleable demographic going to form a Trojan horse for religious prejudice when a: nobody is opening the gates for feminists and b: the religious prejudice is already happily ensconced inside the city walls?
Why would the establishment use outsiders as cover? It makes no sense, the entire premise of this argument is nonsense.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 27/01/2019 19:07

It's so important to let people know what's going on.

OP posts:
CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 27/01/2019 19:05

The left don’t seem to think this.

Sadly at present this is very true and very worrying, to the point of even thinking wrong.

Anlaf · 27/01/2019 19:05

To save you all googling, chicory is:

somewhat woody perennial plant with blue flowers
"bitter"
allegedly Belgian in origin
mainly imported from Holland (so it won't save us from Brexit)
"challenging" in flavour
HORRIFYINGLY ADDICTIVE "once you're hooked, there'll be no turning back" says Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall
fatal to silkworms

Actually - we might be saved after Brexit. A lad in Lincolnshire grows it, and here! is a recipe to make your own chicory coffee.
