Previously:
Posie is bad, bad and bad.
Sodastream's are under whelming
We need to be nice for the bigger boys to like us.
Camp Coffee is revolting
Evidence is never presented for why our leader and saviour is bad.
Mr frosty is crap, all agree
TimeLady's mum made a camp Coffee cake back in the day.
Also a coffee kisses recipe is found.
The alt-right are mentioned a lot.
Paul McCartney gets a mention
So does Terry Pratchett's discworld.
Mr Fruity is remembered and discussed.
Nazi's were mention by early.
We were told we "need a common enemy"
(Why we need this is presently unknown.)

And now the exciting conclusion....

Hang on, I thought this was a Style & Beauty thread and we were discussing classy, understated footwear?

Are we talking about Uggs on MySpace? Is it Sunday?

I think I need to take my tablets - BRB.

Purplewithgreenspots · 30/01/2019 19:04

Having a laugh, which is way more fun than trying to work out how to court someone that you may not like.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 30/01/2019 18:55

I've lost track of what we're doing.

Lots of the 'I beat my addiction and you can too' type - who are actually still sucking up more powder than a Gtech AirAm.

Anyway, are we still cosying up to right wing because they have lovely shoes, or are we doing wrongthink differently wrongly today?

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 30/01/2019 18:53

Grin 'know' is a big word 🤣

Oh bravo! I can now brag that I know someone involved with comics and movies!

I do know a moderately successful comic artist/author IRL, but I have only got chums in theaaaaatre thus far. Quite a collection of anecdotes about well known luvvies, but I'd get deleted if I related some of the tales.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 30/01/2019 14:26

I don't like to talk about it, rarely even mention it, but okay, if you insist.
Back in the 'dark times' around August 15th 2008 (give or take a day, I don't like to be too exact) I wrote a review of Lost Boys The Tribe, without boasting too much, the review was a fantastic price of self proclaimed art, it pointed out everything wrong with the film including the stupid extreme vampires, the over done vampire makeup and the fact it didn't have a twist ending.

The writer of the lost boys comic (who had been asked to cowrite the 3rd film) then contacted me and lost of other fans via a robot email and said the criticism from the fans has been taken on board and the sequel will be more in tone with the original.

And they did seem to take alot of stuff on board that people complained about. Don't get me wrong, it's still terrible. It's a movie based around the comic relief child actors of the first film set 30 year later, everyone expects it to be terrible, but it does feel more like a sequel.

Since nobody has issued instructions for today, I have no choice but to request details from @CaptainKirksSpookyghost about the indirect involvement in making the third Lost Boys film more light hearted. Do tell!

WrathofRancidKlopp · 29/01/2019 14:05

Still no reading list for today, or are they not up yet?

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 29/01/2019 13:30

The thirst.

The trailers are all anyone needs to see.

It had kiefer sutherland's youngest half-brother playing the head vampire too.😂

And the sweaty saxophone man from the first film🤣

Surfing vampires. I have so many questions.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 29/01/2019 13:23

so please don't poke and pry and ask about my indirect involvement in making that film more lighthearted

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 29/01/2019 13:21

I'm part of the reason the third one is better.

OP posts:
CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 29/01/2019 13:17

Yes, two of them. One of a terrible remake sequel which was really terrible, only Corey Feldman returned from the original cast, with extreme surfing vampires who stab each other and post it on youtube. Called lost boys: the tribe.

The third was okayish, but still terrible staring both frog brothers and vampires who run illegal raves in mineshafts. Called lost boys the thirst.

AngryAttackKittens · 29/01/2019 13:11

There were sequels?

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 29/01/2019 13:07

Probably, they were 60's hippies.

Can't be any worse the the sequels

OP posts:
AngryAttackKittens · 29/01/2019 13:07

I'm having a hard time picturing 60s style vampires. Also the best thing about that film was Jason Patrick, which young actor could they replace him with?

Weezol · 29/01/2019 13:06

'Death...by stereo'

Weezol · 29/01/2019 13:05

(In other news, they are making a TV series based on The Lost Boys, everyone's favourite 80's movie about teenage vampires. It's a prequel set in the 60's*

Oh my lawwwd - do we get to see Mr & Mrs Frog meet?

'If you get a TV Guide you don't need a TV'

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 29/01/2019 12:57

Tactics certainly seem to be getting more and more erratic don't they.

Aak
we're meanies who're excluding peopleGrin

FloralBunting · 29/01/2019 10:53

Been at work for the past few days, and didn't see Posie's FB video until just now. I'm exhausted anyway, and now I'm in bits.Sad

AngryAttackKittens · 29/01/2019 10:50

Today's demand has been tweaked slightly and is now that we explain the entire history of this conflict in a succinct and easily understandable way. If we don't we're meanies who're excluding people.

Some people are just fucking exhausting.

CaptainKirksSpookyghost · 29/01/2019 10:48

Gravity plays a big part in dunking biscuits, I feel sorry for astronauts on that respect.

And Lionel Richie, he has the same problem when dancing on the ceiling.
