Sorry but "Creepy"? CREEPY?! What an odd choice of words. I'd say it's more creepy to be desperate to access to womens spaces but that's just me.

Does he not realise that this is about womens safety? These people are so clueless.

The twitter pic shows his audience - a deserted lecture theatre 😂
What’s with misogynists and their relentless creepy, aggressive bs ?

merrymouse · 21/01/2019 19:38

Ironically a lot of them claim that the Guardian is a hot bed of transphobia, I think because of the editorial a while ago that acknowledged that it might sometimes be necessary to notice that sex exists.

ScipioAfricanus · 21/01/2019 18:28

For spacious read salacious. Thanks, autocorrect.

ScipioAfricanus · 21/01/2019 18:27

I think the ‘creepy’ thing is used to try to suggest we are all net-curtain-twitching, gossipy old biddies looking for a spacious vicarious thrill by discussing the sexuality of others. It’s just as disingenuous and essentially misogynistic as the rest of their arguments. I would also like to know why putting children on hormone blockers to prevent their bodies developing isn’t also a creepy focus on bodies? But their argument is as coherent as a dandelion clock on a windy day.

Thesuzle · 21/01/2019 17:52

Op could have left The Guardian” out of the title and i have guessed it !

Deliriumoftheendless · 21/01/2019 17:50

The one thing I have learned from this whole mess is that there are some people who believe so little in women and girls having boundaries and rights that they can not even entertain the idea that anyone else would believe it.

Must be hate because who gives a shit about women and girls. Not these arseholes. It’s like expecting me to worry about the feelings of the lawn when I cut the grass.

Ereshkigal · 21/01/2019 17:46

He's trying to say that women and girls wanting space away from men is creepy, the opposite of how it's usually used.

It's a TRA style reversal. I think this guy probably isn't a great fan of women.

nauticant · 21/01/2019 17:40

The woke "journalist" isn't above employing a bit of DARVO:

aggressive UK people have gamergated my mentions, so I'll be away for a bit

Now I think about it, I've a feeling the guy who was interviewed on RT with Nic Williams (on Friday?) may have said something similar. I don't remember the word 'creepy' but there was certainly an implication that we were unhealthily obsessed with toilets. So there may be a pattern.

It’s like how objecting to genital mutilation becomes ‘an unhealthy obsession with children’s genitals’.

GrinitchSpinach · 21/01/2019 17:20

The trans movement has given their misogyny legitimacy.

That's why this movement has gained so much traction so fast.

This can't be emphasized enough.

BelleHathor · 21/01/2019 17:13

"What's with South Africa & its creepy, aggressive murder rate ?"

"What's with South Africa & its creepy, aggressive human trafficking ?"
It's an easy game to play, these wokesters are more concerned with virtue signalling, instead of actually tackling the real issues because that would be too much hard work. I will tell him why Britain is full of "transphobes" when he explains why a woman raped in South Africa has a 1 in 4 chance of contracting HIV.

littlbrowndog · 21/01/2019 17:12

It really really is orchid
Men however they dress it up

OrchidInTheSun · 21/01/2019 17:07

It's always white men revelling in their ability to legitimately tell women we're complete fucking bitches. That's basically what they're saying. The trans movement has given their misogyny legitimacy.

That's why this movement has gained so much traction so fast.

elle1111112 · 21/01/2019 17:03

I've noticed that many on that side privilege lived experience so highly, they think that they personally havent experienced something, that experience (or knowledge or event) doesn't exist

Yeah it's all projection, something like over 80% of journalists went to Private School, he is probably one of those South Africans that grew up with legions of staff/maids.

I like all the stuff about how apparently people "in africa" didn't know what sex was in humans (male female dick cunt babies) before western colonialisation*

It’s some Noble Savage thing. Black people lived in blissful ignorance until white people pointed out that their naughty bits were different shapes. White people are the serpent who tempted Eve. We are Original Sin.

wigglybeezer · 21/01/2019 16:59

So we're all rich white binary loving colonialists are we? Worldwide coverage of Royal weddings has a lot to answer for!

LangCleg · 21/01/2019 16:56

It's DARVO.

Of course it is. These people are walking talking Duluth wheels.

And not just the creepy bit either. Also the class bit: we all know genderism is a bourgeois movement. Projecting own classism there very nicely.

PerspicaciaTick · 21/01/2019 16:47

Can't believe that, in a world that has yet to work out how to cope with so many of the issues surrounding growing numbers of TW in women's spaces (I'm thinking of prisons, medical situations, women whose culture means they can't share spaces with men etc) he thinks we need less scrutiny?

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 21/01/2019 16:42

Funnt but if someone said to me that someone was creepy I’d assume the creepy one was a man. It’s so much more a male characteristic.

nauticant · 21/01/2019 16:37

If we're talking about Tauriq the "journalist", they have "Cape Town, South Africa" as their location.

It's DARVO. Concern for trans kids and what's in someone's pants (sic) is creepy and prurient.

elle1111112 · 21/01/2019 16:32

The Journalist is male by the way
