Got stared at in the restroom

Another day, another male who feels entitled to use women's spaces. Responses all support the male's "right" to be there, discount the woman's obvious discomfort with the male's presence.

Frankly, I say Paddington hard stares are totally the way forward. Everyone knows the 'Mum look'. It conveys so much with no words at all.

What it also does is illustrate the huge immaturity of someone basically saying "She's looking at me!!!"

Yes, mate. A woman with a child is going to be aware of who is in the enclosed space with her. You totally self obsessed prat.

I have read that a couple of times and I cannot see any mention of a male

The author of the post is male. This is completely obvious from the context. Why would a woman have only been using the women's toilets for a few months? Why would a woman be paranoid that other women were thinking she shouldn't be in the women's toilets? Why would someone reply calling the unnerved mother cis?

I can see why OP didn't think this needed to be spelled out.

Sorry Andy, this is from a transgender subreddit; it is a male original poster complaining about being stared at by a mother in the ladies' room. Second image is a response from another male person who uses the ladies' room encouraging the original poster to be more aggressive next time a woman looks askance in the ladies' room. Does that make sense? I don't know if I've explained it properly. It is hard to have certain very common clarifying words verboten here.

Woman with child gives hard Paddington stare to a man in the women's toilets. Woman does nothing else. Woman says nothing. Pass the smelling salts. Take to Twitter. Oh the horrors of what the poor person endured.

I have read that a couple of times and I cannot see any mention of a male, just "her" and "mom". A little more information would be good.

The mother was probably wondering why a third space hasn’t been carved out of the men’s loos.
Staring at her in return means she will go elsewhere next time and the business will lose custom.
This illustrates why third spaces are the only way forward now that Pandora’s box has been well and truly opened.

DARVO

WTF do they think the mother was thinking?

So in essence you just stare hard at the natal woman or girl and make her feel really uncomfortable, oooookaaayyyy.

This is all about a guy's rights again, sigh. Claiming to be female or feel female but not a shred of empathy for females and their needs and rights. Tosser!

MadgeMidgerson · 12/01/2019 17:08

oh lollll at ‘she didn’t do anything but she could have’

well, yes, quite - I imagine she was thinking much the same about you, mate
