We NEED to speak out about this person

For me, this is exactly why our conversation in the UK is so important right now.

Benjamin questions what his responsibility, and whether he can speak out.

Benjamin's film demonstrates the tangle that Canada has got itself in.

To the extent that the person that Benjamin speaks about feels OK to stand in front of their City Council and brag about their action against Megan Murphy, despite their own despicable and extremely concerning online behaviour.

Also - social license to operate. Ten years ago, pre TRA campaigning, he would have been thrown out of that toilet rather than been allowed to stand their taking photos. Now girls have been trained that if they say anything they're the ones in the wrong.

HomeStar · 23/12/2018 14:33

In that bathroom selfie he's looking right at the little girl (in the mirror) isn't he?

The fact that this person is being protected by anyone show that there is now a vulnerability in every one of the systems society has to limit the actions of predators (police, courts, laws - all of it) that can be activated by using the word "trans". The questions we all need to ask are as follows.

  1. Who built those vulnerabilities into those systems?
  1. What were their motives?
  1. How do we patch that glaringly obvious security breach so that a predator who states that they are trans (which may or may not mean anything specific and may or may not be sincere ) is restricted by the same rules and systems that apply to everyone else rather than being able to bypass measures designed to limit the ability of predators to operate?

Again, if MNHQ delete this comment I will be furious, because this person is dangerous, and the complete failure of the systems designed to protect the public in Canada to intervene demonstrates a systemic weakness that can be exploited by predators. The predators may or may not be trans. It doesn't matter, because simply saying they are is enough to activate the systemic weakness. Anyone who thinks that there will not be predators who will take advantage of that is a fool.

ScipioAfricanus · 23/12/2018 14:19

It’s absolute madness. How is this person being protected so much?

TerfAndSerf · 23/12/2018 14:09

I've just been barred from Twitter for 12 hours for saying JY's actual name.

QuietContraryMary · 22/12/2018 19:05

he's a disgusting pervert and I don't understand why MN would pay his feelings, based in Canada, any sort of regard

sackrifice · 22/12/2018 18:39

Did anyone see this lovely selfie?

Hang on, is that a school bathroom?

We NEED to speak out about this person

To me, it's important to keep talking about situations like this, and to be very aware of them and their impact, because Canada is another 'canary in the coal mine' situation as lesbians are right now.

I don't think the UK is in 'sleeping' mode, as lots of people have woken up to what's happening due to the GRA consultation and also the sterling efforts of many women and some men who have been shouting about this for a lot longer than many of us have.

But I do think it's important to not be complacent, as in, 'it will never happen here'.

Witnessing the gradual tightening on what can and can't be said, the gradual loosening in this country as to what constitutes facts and science, the gradual move towards no-platforming, and the attempted demonisation of women who are critical of the appropriation of what 'woman' actually means.

And the unquestioning sign-up to an anti-science, anti-woman agenda by key political and media figures.

We may be a small step behind Canada, but it's only a small step.

We need to keep speaking up, to stop a situation where the prevailing Zeitgiest of 'transwomen are women' #nodebate has enabled a man to vocalise his fixation on '10-12 year old girls', in plain sight (not implied- it's in his online commentary) buoyed by his percieved protection of being 'trans'.

Who also appears, according to his own social media, to have a 'menstruation fetish' despite him having a male-body.

Sunlight. The more sunlight that's shone, the more this will be exposed before the UK falls to Canda's failings of women.

In MNHQ nix this thread I'm going to be furious. This is not a fragile delicate little bird in need of protection from the world, this is a predator abusing the law to be able to prey on other more effectively. This is exactly what GC women have been worried about, so, everyone who told us it would never happen? You can go ahead and apologize now.

This.

AgentCooper · 21/12/2018 20:13

My overriding feeling about the ball waxing person was sadness. Real fucking sadness that someone like that could be seen as perfectly fine to share a bathroom with wee girls.

Wee girls who have enough to deal with as they grow up. Just horrendous.

AngryAttackKittens · 21/12/2018 20:06

What's the law on making statements indicating a desire to abuse children online? In at least one case the statements indicated an actual plan rather than just a desire (the ferry).

TheLazyDuchess · 21/12/2018 19:22

I think part of the problem here, is that this monster is saying out loud, the sorts of things other transwomen (and men generally) think, but don't say. Or there's an ignorance on womens issues and what is or isn't appropriate/or they know and don't give a damn. It's clear from social media, that a lot of men don't see woman as equal at all, no matter how much they might try to say the right things irl or when it suits them (eg dating). A lot of men truly see us as bodies to play with, silly creatures to be used and abused, and not much else. This guy wants to help put tampons in little girls?? Wtf? a) What the fuck would he know about the practical sude of having a vagina (which is clearly nothing like an anus, other than they're both orifices) and b)this is obviously an inappropriate line of thought to have, most adult women would offer a pad to a desperate teen, but never in a million years offer to apply it or insert a tampon ! Do men seriously think women often do things like that for each other? Confused What causes a fetish like that? Confused

Apart from the huge numbers of rapists and violent men, there are also a lot of pedophiles out there. Hasn't something like 1 in 5 children been sexually abused in the UK (95%+ by men?). Yet these men often don't get caught, never mind convicted or put on a semi-useless register (here in N.I no Sarah's law, so the public can't access that information). It's disgusting, scary, and more so when government officials are known to have participated in such things on a large scale, child rape parties in Dolphin square etc.

Boak at the thought some men use pads, so they can ejaculate in public! Xmas Envy

TheCountryGirl · 21/12/2018 18:32

His breathless, whispery voice made me feel sick. That voice these men put on always turn me. Eugh..🤮

GenderIsAPrison · 21/12/2018 18:09

I don't want to talk about this person, we want to know how to sue him.

wakemewhenitsallover · 21/12/2018 13:10

This person who creeps on pre-teen girls isn't even hiding in plain sight. He just is in plain sight.

And he is being allowed to us the law as a tool to harass women.

It's all shades of wrong. You couldn't make it up.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 21/12/2018 12:51

Re the ball waxing. I think there is a missed opportunity here. Any dudes unemployed right now, or looking for a change of career? Train as a beautician and specialise in mankini waxing. Offer your services on a contract basis such that if a determined customer DEMANDS that a salon offer waxing (or other) services for clients with cocks and balls you are on your way down the motorway sirens blazing and lights flashing to BE THERE! Uniform should be hight vis gear or overalls and stubble is mandatory. Belching and farting in the presence of the client is highly regarded. Best approach is to scratch one's own balls whist saying 'all right then mate, a full wax was it? All good. I get ya - after all we're both the same underneath, haw, haw, haw. I hear you've nixed the anaesthetic - only joking mate - real men (or women) don't scream do we? Now drop them pants and let's get to it'.

The determined customer would run screaming even if the technician was consummately professional but obviously male - because we know that ball waxing isn't really the end goal here.

I was discussing The Person We Need To Discuss But Aren't Allowed To Because "I'm Trans And Oppression and Shit" with my DH, who thought that The Person We Need To Discuss But Aren't Allowed To Because "I'm Trans And Oppression and Shit" only did that speech in front of Langley council in order to get it on public record. Now that it is on public record The Person We Need To Discuss...etc can approach public bodies saying, "it is on public record that Megan Murphy is a trans exclusionary radical feminist who has committed hate speech and should be prosecuted".

and

me: how is it The Person We Need To Discuss...etc is not prosecuted???

DH: The Person We Need To Discuss...etc has not been found guilty of a crime.

me: Duh, clearly a paedophile, evidence on social media, clearly a vexatious litigator, evidence with human rights tribunal.

Pause while I work it out because I have a lady brain,

me: ...oh, I get it...those were only crimes against WOMEN. Right.

DH: I don't make the rules.

Love Benjamins video-the person who can't be named should be imprisoned for being a predatory male with an unhealthy interest in young girls-sicko.

AngryAttackKittens · 21/12/2018 10:07

Look at Canada, eh? At this point I assume they must mean in this sort of way...

fidgetspinner555 · 21/12/2018 09:53

If you read the comments on the video, someone has pointed out that the brand of tampon JY names is the only brand that doesn't have an applicator and must be inserted with fingers.

Yeahnahyeah · 21/12/2018 09:13

EJennings. Yup. But I think the whole clusterfuck is beyond political, beyond religion, beyond .... well... anything but common fecken sense.

Floisme · 21/12/2018 08:51

It’s not so long ago that TRAs were on here telling us, ‘Look at Canada - they’ve got self ID and there haven’t been any problems’.

‘Hmm’ is all I am going to say.
