It’s been announced this week that John Broadhurst is about to be released from prison (see various news sources online). He’ll have served about 19 months of a 44-month sentence. The local MP is asking for clarification of the terms of his release.

I’m never going to forget this woman and what happened to her. Another poor woman out there will be that man’s next victim.

Update:

I wrote to my MP and the AG.

I've had a lovely email back from my MP saying they understand my concerns and that they have made representation of all the points I raised to the appropriate ministerial department and will advise me of the response.

I have already emailed the AG but I think it would be helpful if the next people to do so drew attention to the inconsistency in sentencing between this and the earlier cases.

It’s murder. Despite knowing nothing about rough sex there should be a safe word to stop. The fact that natalie took drugs, was drunk and had consented to rough sex previously isn’t relevant. Yet this seems to have implied something..... consent to death. I’ve 3 daughters and don’t know how to protect them from this, a life sentence for him is a must BUT more importantly is educating YOUR SONS!

I've signed and sent email to Attorney G. I can't convey how sick I felt reading this piece, and I couldn't get the image of this from my mind since I read it.

Natalie was murdered, in cold blood, and then bleached.This man will walk amongst us again in a few short years. Chillingly sober thought.
