And he did it with the most derogatory angry expression on his face.

I think much the same as what Unusualusernames said at 18.49 on 23/12/18 (which also deserves deletion)

LiveSleepSnore · 28/12/2018 13:08

It didn't even register and I read both posts at the time!

starcrossedseahorse · 28/12/2018 11:34

What did Alex say?

It's been obvious he hates women for YEARS. Genuinely confused by the love/support for him.

she may well be a stupid woman (although I think that she is far from stupid, unlike the rather intellectually challenged Corbyn) but the point is that this phrase is never used as a factual insult - it is an insult used by misogynists to put jumped up women in their place

Agreex. I don't consider myself a feminist but have no difficulty getting that point. If it had been Caneron there Corbyn would have muttered "idiot" or "stupid idiot" - not "stupid man'(and I don't give tuppence of credibility to the claim by one poster that "srupid man" is as likely as "stupid woman")

I think most normal mature wealthy influential women would say "Fuck this", explain that it's impossible even for a woman, and then bugger off to a better place and leave men to clear up a mess made mostly by men.

Merry Christmas, to all!

GiantKitten · 23/12/2018 23:19

Which point has unusualusernames missed?

T May actually is a stupid woman.

What’s your point, starcrossedseahorse?

starcrossedseahorse · 23/12/2018 19:29

And well done for missing the point.

Unusualusernames · 23/12/2018 18:49

To be fair she is a woman and she is stupid.

Stopwoofing · 22/12/2018 18:36

Agree it’s still the case that there are many more subjective judgments people apply to women in the public eye/leadership positions than men.

starcrossedseahorse · 21/12/2018 21:39

Stopwoofing it's pure misogyny.

AspieAndProud · 21/12/2018 21:16

Lee Mack just did a joke about ‘stupid... people’ in the live Not Goung Out

ratchethandler · 21/12/2018 19:10

Thank you MargueritaPink . A decent article...I can't say I'm much of a fan of Nick Cohen, I think he's got it completely wrong about the EU and he seems to have been reduced to attacking Tories more & more in the Spectator, after his abject failure in dissuading voters from voting for Jeremy Corbyn.

That said, I liked it. Particularly the way he highlights the cynicism of Corbyn/labour facing both ways on Brexit. But it did probably help them at the last GE though.

AnOtherNomdePlume · 21/12/2018 18:25

I have heard a lot of goodwill extended to Theresa May in real life as opposed to on line.

Everyone I know can't stand Boris or Dave.

Noone is / admits to being a Conservative supporter though!

Stopwoofing · 21/12/2018 17:29

The reason we don’t have women at the helm is that more women are unlikeable than men - Hilary Clinton, May (is she any worse than male tories? No), Cherie Blair being pipped to a seat by Call Me Tony, the last election hasn’t helped Yvette Cooper’s chances.

Voters don’t tend to like career women.

AntiSocialInjusticePacifist · 21/12/2018 17:15

That’s a very good article and reveals that Corbyn and his cronies don’t actually give two figs about the actual poor and marginalised, they are smacking their lips at the prospect of all that sweet delicious power....

MissEliza · 21/12/2018 17:09

Lizzie when I heard that comment, I immediately thought of that cover.

MargueritaPink · 21/12/2018 16:29

ratchethandler you might like this. It is brilliant on what is wrong with Corbyn.

starcrossedseahorse · 21/12/2018 16:08

Great post rachet!

LizzieSiddal · 21/12/2018 15:17

Here’s the cover, published on the 14th. Speech writers are obviously desperate for ideas.

Jeremy Corbyn just called Theresa May "stupid woman"
ratchethandler · 21/12/2018 15:09

It's awful I agree MissEliza.. Such a waste of time, money and opportunity - all of the pathetic, stage managed pantomime parliamentarians go through for their own entertainment. I'm sure I'm not alone in wishing that these people would get on with the job of running the country efficiently and effectively. Rather than indulging in this idiotic theatre of fake laughter, bluster, shouting and finger pointing. I believe the only people who enjoy it is them, the public certainly don't seem to. I seem to remember Greg Dyke saying he believed the HOC as is, ought to be closed down and politics moved to a much less ostentatious, modern building, where they could work with a minimum of wasted effort and expense? I think he had something there..

AntiSocialInjusticePacifist
You make some good points. As I've said before [sorry to repeat], I believe there is no shitty behaviour that Corbyn could indulge in that his acolytes won't defend. Personally, I’d rather see him roasted for being a 'friend' to Middle Eastern, jew-murdering terrorists org's. Encouraging antisemitism in his party. And for being a prov-IRA-supporting, liar, rather than uttering a throwaway comment about Theresa May.

After all, a man who got two "E"s on his A levels, dropped out of the Polytechnic of North London, has never made a penny in any commercial activity in his entire adult life, who made that unbelievably thick "one letterbox" comment, and has grown to his current age believing marxism could work, has no right calling anyone "stupid".

MissEliza · 21/12/2018 14:15

I agree the panto bit was cringeworthy and definitely pre written. Unfortunately a side effect of televising PMQs is that politicians and party aides know they need to provide witty sound bites for the evening news.
