Investigations to keep an eye on

There are a number of investigations ongoing at the moment into possibly abusive practices which have affected or could affect the rights or safety of girls and women.

Here is a list which can be added to if necessary and updated when more information becomes available.

Over here in the USA, there are a few cases that might go to the Supreme Court. At issue is re-interpreting Title 1X protections on the basis of defining "sex" to include gender identity.

I’m curious whether the Child Sexual Abuse enquiry will be investigating West Yorkshire Police’s complicity on a number of fronts? - as well as other police forces who have, and do, enable child sexual abuse by their withholding of action, or support and covering for perpetrators - for example, by their sanctioning of vexatious complaints against innocents / whistleblowers by vindicative, disordered minds.

Anyone know?

If each of us who has concerns about the Big Lottery Fund giving half a million pounds to Mermaids Inc. (given their record of circulating discredited statistics and referring youths to an unauthorized GP) were to write [email protected] and insist on a thorough review of that unfortunate decision, a number of youths may greatly benefit.

I have a response from the Professional Standards Department at Norwich Police after I complained about Harrop's abuse of public services.

Is Dr Mike Webberly under investigation as well?

Also, although it's research rather than an investigation, there is that Kings College London study into removing Sex as a legal category that we need to keep an eye on. Think it's not due to publish its findings for another year or two.

Not an investigation, but we need to keep tabs in the inquiry announced by Penny Mordaunt in September into why over the last decade there has been a 4,400% (I think) increase in girls wanting to transition.
If someone could kindly explain how to do links I'll add one!

Great idea for a thread

I'd add:

  • Jennifer James' legal challenge against the Labour Party for allowing transwomen without a GRC to stand on an AWS (not an investigation, but worth keeping sight of progress)
  • Prison Service review into why Karen White was placed in the female estate
  • GMC decision on Helen Webberley's fitness to practice / licence revocation
