What a great way to protect sex offenders who want to hide their past, and to get rid of feminists.

Right after Wordpress suddenly added that to their rules as well:

I think it is what you said Verbeena

Rules now are:

Must not use previous name
Must not use sex related pronouns
Must not use current name in place of chosen pronoun
Must use chosen pronouns

Any breach of rules is harassment

AspieAndProud · 25/11/2018 15:18

I meant the repeated use of someone's name in one sentence as they refuse to acknowledge anyone as a transwoman so won't use she.

I haven’t seen anyone refuse to acknowledge anyone as a transwoman. As a woman, yes. But not as a transwoman.

I won’t be compelled to say something I don’t believe.

If you ban me from saying ‘they’, I’ll use their name. If you ban me from using their name I’ll use any of the infinite numbers of combinations of letters the English language provides and you can fucking ban each of those in turn.

VerbeenaBeeks · 25/11/2018 15:14

now not to use their current name?

Nobody's saying you can't use their current name? Confused
Of course you can use their current name.
If you're referring to what I said upthread that's not what I said at all.

sanluca · 25/11/2018 14:59

So first it was not to call a transwoman 'he', then not to use 'they', now not to use their current name? It all leads us down one road: to force us to use she for a transwoman, even if they are woman hating misogynists or in the case of Karen White, a rapist.

What is the difference between 'misgendering' and 'correct-sexing'?

Ereshkigal · 25/11/2018 13:01

That's unlikely to be surprising news to many.

No.

VerbeenaBeeks · 25/11/2018 12:56

Well stands to reason that not everyone will share the same viewpoint, so there'll be more than one of us? Oh, and I don't care how "women construct their sentences" I was just saying why the misgendering etc will be banned - on the surface it sounds ridiculous to ban it, but it runs deeper than that.

R0wantrees · 25/11/2018 12:52

Weetabix must think so too if she's already said it as well.

Verbeena all we learn from this is that you and Weetabix share similar perspectives on how women posting should construct their sentences and both of you have chosen to express this complaint today.

That's unlikely to be surprising news to many.

uglyandlovingit · 25/11/2018 12:44

But people LOVE pointing out Tommy Robinson's real name. Some refuse to call him by his preferred name of "Tommy". Surely, those calling Tommy "Stephen" should be silenced too? I'd love to see the look on LOJ's face when he's told that!

VerbeenaBeeks · 25/11/2018 12:44

Good to know what's next? Not sure what that means.
It's there for anyone who wants to see it, it's not exactly hidden.
Weetabix must think so too if she's already said it as well.

VerbeenaBeeks · 25/11/2018 12:41

Random it there!

VerbeenaBeeks · 25/11/2018 12:40

There you go then, that's why it- people obviously do it

VickyEadie · 25/11/2018 12:38

Legally mandated belief and enforcement to lie, eh?

What times we live in.

R0wantrees · 25/11/2018 12:35

I meant the repeated use of someone's name in one sentence as they refuse to acknowledge anyone as a transwoman so won't use she.
It's rampant on some of these threads.

This seems a thing today.
Weetabix was starting to highlight this as a possible next stage of complaint on another thread.
Verbeena as I said to Weetabix, that one is going to be tricky to control.

Good to know what's next though.

VickyEadie · 25/11/2018 12:33

Anlaf - no, sorry think you've misunderstood me. I meant the repeated use of someone's name in one sentence as they refuse to acknowledge anyone as a transwoman so won't use she.
It's rampant on some of these threads.

That's because we (those of us who might do it) refuse to be told we must accept that someone is a woman who we do not believe is.

I cannot and will not accept the fiction that a person can change sex and nobody is going to force me.

Ereshkigal · 25/11/2018 12:32

Verbeena thinks the trans lobby should have the right to force women to lie.

R0wantrees · 25/11/2018 12:32

This is important, the specifics in this case matter a great deal.

You wonder why Lalya Moran is pissing about being a politician. She could solve world peace overnight and earn a fortune. We could write a business plan for her, get a share of the profit.

VerbeenaBeeks · 25/11/2018 12:28

Sorry anlaf, cross posted with you

VerbeenaBeeks · 25/11/2018 12:27

Confused Grin ookay

Anlaf · 25/11/2018 12:27

repeatedly saying their name over and over to avoid saying she - can understand why it would come across as harassing or intolerance

Sorry - you believe it's harrassment and intolerant to use someone's current name?

This really is another level of required compliance.

Ereshkigal · 25/11/2018 12:26

Perhaps V can see inside people's souls? It's a neat trick.

It is! I wonder if you can teach yourself, like lucid dreaming?

uglyandlovingit · 25/11/2018 12:25

@VerbeenaBeeks

Do you think it's acceptable for people to call "Tommy Robinson" "Stephen Yacley-Lennon"? Is yes, why?

VerbeenaBeeks · 25/11/2018 11:53

Yes, yes, I can see inside people's souls. That's it.

Confused Hmm
