Bowl I just want to say that we are genuinely trying, in academia, to encourage students to use critical thought and engage with challenging issues, but it's true with the NSS and the currently cutthroat competition for students (all those lovely fees to line the management's pockets!) that it's becoming more and more difficult to 'force' them to engage their brains, when we can't always fail them when they avoid doing so.
