Another day. Another labour woman hounded by Fragrant Lily and the Thought Police.

Now she's going after her Labour Party branch chair for wrong think.

The only campaigning that LM has down for period poverty is to write the word “No” on her hand. And then post the photo on Twitter.

That’s not campaigning- it’s attention seeking.

LM did actually admit that women having rights was deemed to be transphobic in itself.

Serfisafleur Where did LM say that? That seems pretty significant and an alarming thing for a women's officer to say.

So their capacity for representing women is no longer an issue.

Lilly is still applying for Women's Officer posts and aligning them self with women's issues and campaigns eg Period Poverty.

Lily Madigan is no longer a Women's Officer for Labour. I believe they are now an "LGBTQ+" officer for labour and they hold some sort of Labour representative position at their university, Goldsmiths.
So their capacity for representing women is no longer an issue.

That is seriously odd. THIS is a person we are supposed to accept as advocating for women and their interests? Labour is fast becoming a complete laughing stock. I'm baffled that they cannot see this.

I agree totally. Career politicians with no real world experience make a mockery of democracy.

The girls can code thing is weird. Does LM code or does LM just use her computer skillz for hunting gc women on Twitter?

LM is aiming at a career in politics. If I ruled the world, I would pass a law that nobody could become a full-time politician without being able to demonstrate having spent a substantial amount of time on non-political work, paid or otherwise - the humdrum stuff most of us have to do at least at the start of our working lives, which is invaluable in learning what other people's lives are like, how to work and get on with other people as part of a team, how to learn from mistakes, how to cope with difficult people and rise above petty annoyances, how to make ends meet on a small income, and so on and so forth.

Touring the country preaching to the converted, starting vendettas against people who disagree with you, accepting free flights to Los Angeles, featuring in Teen Vogue and sitting on a committee for a subject with which you have no obvious logical connection* wouldn't count as relevant work experience.

*LM claims to work with GirlsWhoCode. What background in computing does LM have? Also, I thought initiatives to get more girls into STEM were aimed at biological girls, as there is no shortage of biological males in STEM, including some who now identify as female. So why use a trans woman as a figurehead?
