Please Help Me On Kialo Trans Debates

There are a number of trans debates on Kialo which are rather skewed because most people seem to buy into the trans rhetoric.

Kialo is a debate platform that supposedly makes debate unbiased and without the usual internet argumentative style and for the most part it does this quite well, however the admins of some of the debates are very biased. For instance I'm currently trying to convince an admin of debate "should trans women be allowed in women only spaces" to accept my antithesis to this:

"....Allowing cis women into female only spaces is no more likely to lead to allowing men than it is to allowing all people dressed as dinosaurs in."

I suggested:

"Predatory males could simply declare that they are a trans woman and enter into womens' refuges. Potentially the very refuge where their scared victim is seeking refuge from them. This is a common scenario."

In response I was told by admin (and hence my thesis was not accepted into the debate):

"This has no support. I admined the debate about sex segregated bathrooms, and many people made this claim... none with convincing evidence. So please find something that's not a single case or a media moral panic campaign to support this, thanks"

I'm being similarly shot down and effectively no platformed all over the debate. Please help!

This debate is here:
www.kialo.com/should-women-only-spaces-be-open-to-anyone-identifying-as-female-18042/

The thesis I'm using as a specific example is here:

Thank you!

@UpstartCrow can I cut and paste that verbatim into the discussion under the thesis on Kialo please?

Belief in gender identity is currently allowed to override safeguarding and 5 separate protected characteristics named in The Equality Act;

  • Sex based rights and protections
  • Protection based on sexual orientation
  • The belief that you cannot change sex
  • Religious beliefs including the need for single sex spaces, and that some activities cannot be performed in front of members of the opposite sex
  • Cultural beliefs including the need for single sex spaces, and that some activities cannot be performed in front of members of the opposite sex.

As an example, Karen White identified as a woman and was placed on a women only psychiatric ward, where he repeatedly raped a woman.
Karen was then moved to prison where he sexually assaulted 4 inmates over the space of several months.

This isn't moral panic. Karen was able to do this because safeguarding procedures were ignored. There was no risk assessment made before placing him among vulnerable women. Twice, by 2 separate institutions.

I'd also like to point out that on a psychiatric ward, the women are often sedated, staff often treat reports of assault as hallucinations or fantasy; and the wards are kept locked.

PS. I think my antithesis wasn't brilliant and perhaps they were correct to decline its addition... I need more voices on the debate to help me get women's arguments heard - and to help me get my theses' worded better... perhaps with some relevant references (which I'm not very good at finding).
