Beautiful job Dr Jones! Smile

Agreed this is a very accurate précis of the last few years.. there could be even more included in a fanfic version- no need to squabble over parts Grin

The police and Posie, Venice, Linda etc
Speakers’ corner attack and subsequent events
Judge, Venice and Linda and the pocketsquare
The prisons service deciding to house men in with women
MPs ignoring letters
Celebrities deleting even faintly feministy stuff so as not to offend
Womxn
Swim England
Girl Guides UK
NSPCC
Man Friday
FPFW
LAWS
Academics come out
Academics are harassed
Gulags
Bradley, NUS etc
Health care professionals pressured to go for affirmation approach
Meanwhile in schools...
meanwhile in sports...
everyone: hey where did all the single-sex toilets go?

I've kind of lost the last 5 years of my life due to repeatedly having babies, crippling sleep deprivation etc. It's been immensely reassuring to read this and find that things really have been as surreal as they felt at the time.

SeaRabbit · 14/11/2018 21:56

That is so good. I didn't realise it had been building for so long, so thanks to all the people who saw through it all in the beginning.

Though if I were being picky I'd credit some journalists a bit earlier.

I loved Petal, who is very petally and who will be even more petally after a uterine implant.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 14/11/2018 13:47

That blog article was a hoot. And accurate.

arranfan · 14/11/2018 13:21

Important notice - JCJ's saga has been extended and updated Grin

There is now:
a new scene on the Labour Party, Momentum, and a certain Woman's Officer called Petal...

MrsWinkly · 14/11/2018 11:37

And the take on Intersectional Feminists is genius.
We are intersectional... we have asymmetric hair-cuts and our profile pics give great side-eye... and you are women and that means that you are the least oppressed and that means that your feminism is shit and that means that you have to centre all these other people in your feminism and if you refuse it’s because you’re the oppressors and the most oppressed people are trans women and they must be the centre of feminism from now on.
Grin I've known a few of these

MrsWinkly · 14/11/2018 11:30

I particularly like the "burble burble Judith Butler..." from American TRAs Grin, that's basically what I understand of everything she writes.

Bittermints · 14/11/2018 11:22

breastfeedingclownfish · 14/11/2018 10:38

Have to say I have read this several times and am still laughing. But it's so accurate too. Have sent it to lots of people, even those who deny there's a problem.

Theinconstantgardener · 14/11/2018 10:27

Absolutely excellent!

arranfan · 14/11/2018 10:10
