If Powell's isn't 'woke' enough for you, you're the problem, not Powell's. It's an amazing bookstore and has a solid history of standing by the disenfranchised and supporting lefty causes.
Can't believe someone would make such a fuss about going across the street and up three flights of stairs to go to a public gender neutral restroom when there already was one they could use in a small, private office where no-one would question how they present because their colleagues already knew that they were nonbinary.
Surely the whole point of gender neutral bathrooms is for nonbinary / trans people to not be harassed for using the 'wrong' bathroom? That's impossible if you're in a private office and everyone already knows you're nonbinary.
Clearly just a difficult person going out of their way to sulk about no-one recognizing their special yoonique identity. All they're going to achieve is to make employers more hesitant about hiring nonbinary people in future. I feel bad for anyone who is genuinely trans and has had surgery, years of pain etc only to be upstaged by an eejit like this.
