Basically, lesbians should lie back and think of England.

Coping just fine is not what continuous enthusiastic consent looks like, you rapey bastard. Fuck, I've had enough of these people now.

VickyEadie · 01/11/2018 17:18

Has McKinnon offered the same 'just get over it' advice to gay men, vis a vis their aversion to vaginas?

Asking for all gay doctors and Momentum supporting Guardian writers who tweet regularly...

Datun · 01/11/2018 17:17

I can tell I'm not the only one who is struggling to find the words to articulate the number of outrages all jostling for position in my head.

But chief amongst them is how can this person not tell that EVERYBODY knows they are a common or garden entitled male bodied trans person trying to get sex. Just everyone. Their friends, cronies, supporters and detractors. All of them.

It's stultifyingly predictable. The only remarkable part is the barefaced fucking cheek, or blind arrogance, in trying to convince anyone that there's any more to it than that.

Ugh.

( i've neutralised my pronouns, in the highly unlikely event that HQ would deem as as anything other than what is)

Knicknackpaddyflak · 01/11/2018 17:12

Actually I'll edit that to add: has sex with male bodies willingly because they are attracted to them.

I've known plenty of lesbians who have had sex with male bodies as an experiment on whether it works for them, because they married unaware they were gay and realised later why they didn't enjoy sex, or because they're being coerced by homophobic twats who believe it's more important for females to validate males with reality issues and co operate with gaslighting than to respect those female's homosexuality.

Knicknackpaddyflak · 01/11/2018 17:08

Oh fuck off McKinnon. Your issues with women not giving sex to men are your problem, not mine. You'll find a good psychologist in the yellow pages. Any 'lesbian' who has sex with male bodies is not a lesbian, and I'll decide for myself who I'm attracted to thanks. HTH.

UpstartCrow · 01/11/2018 16:36

I just cant find it in me to support corrective rape.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 01/11/2018 16:15

It was only a few days ago that a poster on another thread tried to convince me that lesbians are lesbians only because of societal pressure and that if they would just throw off the shackles of societal expectations they would realise that they were really dick-loving heterosexuals.

Yeah, no.

"Why “Get The L Out” ?
July 5, 2018
Angela C. Wild
Who We Are

Get the L Out is a group of lesbian and feminist individuals and organisations, opposing the increasingly anti-lesbian and misogynistic LGBT movement and the erasure of lesbians

Why We Protest

We believe that lesbian rights are under attack by the trans movement and we encourage lesbians everywhere to leave the LGBT and form their own independent movement, as well as to be vocal and take action against the proposed changes to the GRA.

Get the L Out believes trans politics (with uncritical support from the LGBT movement) does the following:

Promotes the social transition of lesbians, encouraging them to present as straight men thus favouring the pretence of heterosexuality over lesbianism – this is nothing more than a form of conversion therapy.
Promotes the medical transition of lesbians and pushes harmful drugs (untested hormone blockers, Lupron etc.) as well as unnecessary medical practices on perfectly healthy bodies – these are a form of misogynist medical abuse against lesbians.
Promotes the rights of heterosexual males who “identify” as women and lesbians (despite most of them still retaining their male genitals) over the rights of lesbians to choose their sexual partners. This new ‘queer’ LGBT politics thus coerces lesbians to accept the penis as a female organ and promotes heterosexual intercourse between male and female as a form of lesbian sex. This is simply a new facet to rape culture and compulsory heterosexuality." (continues)

howard97A · 01/11/2018 15:03

I suppose most lesbians can spot a heterosexual male well before there is any attempt at sexual contact.

If a lesbian were unlucky enough to get into a real relationship before suddenly discovering that their partner was a heterosexual man, I imagine the discovery could be quite traumatic, even if ( perhaps especially if ) he has had genital surgery.

Prawnofthepatriarchy · 01/11/2018 15:02

..the cis lesbian gets over her genital hangups and realizes that she can cope just fine.

Genital hangups?

So sexual orientation is just a hangup now? Homophobia to the max. Vile. Real Westboro Baptist stuff, as Floral said.

And as for COPE JUST FINE...

I'm usually quite softly spoken but roaring at the top of my lungs is the only way to express my indignation.

It was the Cotton Ceiling that first got me into this.

I'm very keen on sex. The thought that anyone might think they had the faintest right to tell me who to fuck makes me wild. The pressure lesbians, especially young lesbians, get from people who think like Rachel McKinnon is atrocious.

dontalltalkatonce · 01/11/2018 14:50

This is a man talking about raping women. Garden variety misogyny dressed up as some sort of neo-liberal BS.

KatVonGulag · 01/11/2018 14:28

Homophobia is clearly not a problem anymore. In this brave new world of bullshit.

AspieAndProud · 01/11/2018 13:53

How many translesbians are prepared to take dick for the team themselves?

Datun · 01/11/2018 13:51

Magdalen Berns is excellent on this and takes it very seriously. She points out the difference between sexual preference and sexual orientation. And that sexual orientation is protected by law, in this country.

She uses South Africa and Saudi Arabia as examples where sexual orientation is not protected and lesbians are correctively raped in South Africa, and gay men executed in Saudi.

And that laws can be changed and rights can be taken away.

Equality law is quite clear that sexual orientation is based on sex.

Mackinnon is demanding people breach equality law.

Datun · 01/11/2018 13:41

I've had sex with enough cis lesbians to knowto KNOWthat the TERF propaganda that lesbians are attracted to the 'female sex' in a way to exclude trans women is very clearly false. Lesbians are attracted to women in a way that absolutely includes trans women.”

So why bother going on about it and haranguing people? Why do you need to shout it from the rooftops. Unless it's to bully.

R0wantrees · 01/11/2018 13:39

Magdelen Berns:

Interesting that McKinnon thinks women should be able to cope with unwanted sex, and at the same time encourages children to phone and email themself as their new glitter family if the parents are 'unsupportive' of their trans children.

When challenged over who decides if the parents are unsupportive, McKinnin claims the children decide.

In what world does a male identifying as female decide that children are responsible for themselves and what they want, and adult women aren't?

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 01/11/2018 13:00

Ah. The 'Rapey' Riley School of Sexual Attraction: get over yourselves, lesbians, so that you can start having sex with men.

EmpressAdultHumanFemale · 01/11/2018 12:57

The implication is that McKinnon could be teaching students that they should be raping lesbians, or at the very least pushing them into sex, for the benefit of the lesbians.

I don't know where this course is supposed to be but that should be illegal. If it isn't already.

Badstyley · 01/11/2018 12:56

NotBadConsidering

Thanks.

I have nothing to add from my post above.

breastfeedingclownfish · 01/11/2018 12:35

If that's not conversion therapy I don't know what is.

Or just another variation of 'a good shagging with sort those lesbians out'

AnchorMum · 01/11/2018 11:22

The more I read from and about R McK, the more disturbing I find this individual.

nauticant · 01/11/2018 10:58

I return to a theme of mine. For myself, if I'm interacting with someone and become aware that they're becoming uncomfortable, that makes me uncomfortable and I will try to change or end the interaction to remove their discomfort.

For some other people, interacting with someone in a way that makes them uncomfortable can be arousing.

FloralBunting · 01/11/2018 10:53

I still can't get over the mindset that would not only think this was appropriate ever, but that thinks that 'coping' is part of a positive sexual lexicon.

"How was it for you?"
"Well, I coped."

Confused
