...the mother on the other hand is coming off as a nightmare. Conned her own mother out of her savings and forged her husband's signature and took their son off in secret. It's very revealing how misjudged this is if it was thought this was going to get the viewer on her side.

They've tried to paint the father as the bad guy by throwing in that slap and his affair, but it hasn't worked as he's making a lot of reasonable points.
