Lily M standing as women's officer again

Gather LM is saying that they had to give up the previous post because they left the area (to go to Goldsmiths) but they're now standing for the women's officer post in Lewisham Deptford CLP. Voting is on Sunday, apparently.

Yes I noticed that too. It was also where the WNTT meeting was going to be that ended up at Speakers Corner, incidentally.

Labour has definitely lost the plot. I wonder if they will wake up before they need to change their name ('labour' being something that the blue haired boys will never experience in either sense of the word - and we dont want to upset them)

I'm no fan of the Tories, but if they had a member behaving like that Facebook girl, their own members would be criticizing them . But with Labour, they have this odd cult-like mantra. It's creepy.

The problem is that Gill has been doing the boring, old fashioned women's work, dealing with new mums who may have a touch of PND and swollen sore boobs and vaginas; and raising money through hard graft to ensure that vital facilities and services for the community are not removed. LM deals with new women, who pose in their bra to give a running commentary on the size of their breasts and have a GoFundMe begging bowl on their FB profile

I am no expert on Fine Art but I had the impression that Goldsmith's doesn't bother with anything as old-fashioned as life drawing. Happy to be corrected on this, obviously, if anyone knows what they cover.

Nauticant, they don't have a Maths dept but do seem to do Computer Science and I expect they offer Maths PGCE, so plenty of opportunities there to subvert the numerical binary!

Is anyone going to Sunday's meeting?

I'm a local member but not very active as only moved here last year, I had other plans but feel as if i have to make the effort to go and vote for Gill.

They do teach Psychology and do a lot of teacher training and social work training. I don't care as much what they teach in the Fine Art and Gender Studies departments but the first three above will be sending out people who could have key safeguarding roles in their professional lives.

I think the new SU LGBT officer (who beat Madigan), Edain Bradley, is the same SU LGBT Officer as last year.

Pretty certain it was Edain who condemned us to the luxury gulags...
