Kong may well be playing a good game! This is the 2nd, 3rd poster they have put up, investigated and taken down, with an explanation that it complied with the ASA but that some trans people had complained.

By not having learned their lesson the first time they are repeating it... giving Posie air space and stating that there is nothing illegal about the poster, and that some trans people are objecting to a dictionary definition on a legal poster!

If they are doing it deliberately I think they deserve a round of applause!

Binglebong · 29/10/2018 10:58

Just wondering what Kong's "investigation" concluded.

Gncq · 29/10/2018 07:16

Kong took the poster down because they are cowards, Posie got huge publicity for her campaign, when she gets her refund another poster will go up to be taken down immediately, ad infinitum.

Binglebong · 28/10/2018 21:00

Any news on this?

paffuto · 21/10/2018 13:33

Kong Outdoors are "investigating". Wonder what they'll decide?

paffuto · 21/10/2018 13:31

Didn't look at it like that Budgie. Like your positive thinking.Wink

Budgieinaberet · 21/10/2018 13:27

It's perfect having it removed.
Posie keeps the £ gets stacks of free publicity.
And gets to take the billboard to another city

paffuto · 21/10/2018 12:35

Frustrating, especially with the votes being so high.

1984isHappeningNow · 21/10/2018 12:35

Over 5k votes...closed now...presumably as the board has been removed.

More coverage, more peaking and they will get their money back if it stays down won't they?

Femaledisrespectful · 21/10/2018 12:01

Bollocks! But will hopefully have the desired impact and peak trans more people.

paffuto · 21/10/2018 06:22

This morning it's 88/12. Smile

Binglebong · 20/10/2018 21:36

I may be reading too much into this but I think the journalist would be voting No.

The highly controversial poster includes the Google definition of the word woman.

Could really be read either way.

paffuto · 20/10/2018 18:27

I don't know Gncq, but at the moment it's 86/14. Wink

Gncq · 20/10/2018 15:16

Does anyone know when the poll closes?

Just voted and shared.

nicenewdusters · 20/10/2018 14:11

Just added my "no". A democratic voice for a woman is just anathema to these TRAs.

boatyardblues · 20/10/2018 14:10

At 14:09, currently 83% No to 17% yes. So broadly in line with the polling which Pink News commissioned.

Now100 · 20/10/2018 14:01

I can't see the threats now, thankfully they have been removed. I agree they're not from feminists, I've never seen anything like that on here (or similar talkboards).

LostLurker · 20/10/2018 13:46

Sorry, perhaps it’s not a good idea to set it out in full on here. Should I get it removed? Genuinely struggling with all this at the moment.

Invisible1234 · 20/10/2018 13:45

The TRAs are voting now...down to 83%.

LostLurker · 20/10/2018 13:43

There is another above that - “If I ever see you or any of your other TRA accomplices, I will personally smash your head so hard that you won’t be recognisable”.

Initially, I took it to be from a TRA, but then I read it more carefully. It doesn’t sound like something a woman would say to me. More like something a man or trans woman pretending to be a GC feminist might say, if they were trying to support the view that we are threatening them. Why hasn’t it been taken down anyway?
