Or is the news that Kleenex, who have made ‘man sized’ tissues for 60 years bloody ridiculous?

I had always assumed they were for wanking too.

Freespeecher · 18/10/2018 19:14

Reminds me of how the demise of Salad Cream was announced on a regular basis (with a resulting spike in sales).

BiologyIsReal · 18/10/2018 19:12

I thought they were specially intended for man flu.

TotallyWipedout · 18/10/2018 19:11

Short answer: not they are not (sexist). Some people are quite mad.

Melanippe · 18/10/2018 19:07

Oh lordy! And now I've just seen that other people think they're for wanking into.

Why can't they use an old sock like they did in the old days?

Melanippe · 18/10/2018 19:05

Man sized tissues are pretty rubbish if you actually have a streaming cold. You either waste half the tissue or have snotty tissue in your hand for longer, which probably means you're more likely to spread germs. I'm pretty sure the 'mansize' thing was a sales gimmick to start with anyway, wasn't it? Surely men don't really believe they have such huge hooters?

MinecraftHolmes · 18/10/2018 18:58

I always assumed that man sized was a euphemism for wank sized.

NewWomensMovement · 18/10/2018 18:57

Women don't ejaculate, so they don't need to mop up jizz.

Stillwishihadabs · 18/10/2018 18:50

Does man sized tissue = wank rag or have I misunderstood ?

Frankenterfer · 18/10/2018 18:49

Good to see these companies out there dealing with the big tissues 🙄

LorettasBox · 18/10/2018 18:48

I'm sure tissues are really important to.the dudes who visit FWR. Beyond that, I don't care.

Ilikeknitting · 18/10/2018 18:47

I’m glad I’m not alone. I laughed when my DH first read the news to me! I thought he was joking. I don’t know who would take offence. I have to agree with @AssassnatedBeauty, it’s done to grab headlines

You should see outrage on twitter from men and that’s over box of tissues!

🤔 what a time to bring this change in.

Wankers

AssassinatedBeauty · 18/10/2018 18:39

Why would they bin any boxes? They'd be very stupid to announce this before they'd planned in a sensible changeover that didn't result in wastage. I'm not sure how changing what is printed on the packaging will cost lots of money either?

Gaspodethetalkingdog · 18/10/2018 18:37

No, load of carp. Will cost the company loads of £ and probably result in them binning perfectly good boxes. Another idiotic step too far!

AssassinatedBeauty · 18/10/2018 18:35

I reckon they're experiencing falling sales for this product and are just grabbing a headline whilst rebranding them.
