Nah. I'm sure someone here has a spreadsheet and lots of a screenshots. And a list of mealy-mothed politicians, actors (I'm looking at you, Harry Potter girl), companies, etc.

Yup Handsoff

As the shit hits the fan about the silencing and abusing of the democratic process they'll be saying - "but we covered it - look how many times ..." Angry

Nothing and then 4 items in 1 day. The Guardian did the same. I smell rats.

HandsOffMyRights · 18/10/2018 18:07

Can't seem to get today's show. Johnny Best was also on with Caroline previously - she so gets it.

So today BBC has/will run articles on the Politics Show, PM, Newsnight and Dr Nic is also on BBCSW at 6.30pm.

It's like they are ticking their quota box to say they reported all of this before the GRA deadline, but leaving it to the 11th hour.

Cowardly snakes, Beeb.

TerfedOff · 18/10/2018 18:05

Well that was heartening. Caroline Quinn very intelligent very clear and David Davis getting to the heart of what the problems are. How could anybody disagree with that?

happydappy2 · 18/10/2018 18:05

Huge Thank you to David Davies, he mentioned he'd never known anything like this in 13 years of politics-speaks volumes.
Also the fact Bercow refused the urgent question re male bodies in womens prisons....that looks VERY bad.

FlowersAndHerts · 18/10/2018 18:03

Yes, can't believe the mention of Karen White wasn't cut short!

scepticalwoman · 18/10/2018 18:01

I wonder whether the BBC 1 will cover it? (bet not)

placemats · 18/10/2018 18:01

Quinn also has ensured a lovely piece on Anthea Bell the magnificent translator of Asterix and Kafka. Who has died today. RIP.

nauticant · 18/10/2018 18:00

I would love to hear his words spoken by a woman - adult human female.

I would welcome hearing similar views coming from a female MP. But I understand why they're afraid to speak.

TeenTimesTwo · 18/10/2018 17:57

This has finally got me to write to my (female, conservative) MP.

trenchant · 18/10/2018 17:57

I wish anyone on the left had articulated support for feminist groups as well as Davies managed to. It's heartbreaking that this simply doesn't seem possible anymore.

Yes (apologies for misnaming her upthread), she was very clear and sounded suitably outraged when mentioning Karen White (who got an appropriate lot of mentions Grin }

Davis put his arguments across well of course because he's a man. And people listen to men.

I would love to hear his words spoken by a woman - adult human female.

Having said that. Thank you David Davis for saying what you did.

I like this presenter anyway. Carolyn Quinn.

This really did cover all the angles that the TRAs have been shouting down with roars of transphobia. And Kathleen Stock is on TV later isn't she?
The BBC and the Guardian in one day - I may need to go and lie down!

(I do realise that these hypocrites are trying to put a year's worth of coverage into 24 hours)

This link should work, scroll to 17:20 on the bar at the bottom

To listen outside of the UK, if you have a VPN you can set to UK, usually, yes. Or you could try and find the podcast via an app (I use the default app on the iPhone) as that seems to bypass country-specific restrictions.

LizzieSiddal · 18/10/2018 17:47

That was fab. DD was fab. And this is the second great piece Caroline Quinn has had on this show. She did one about Karen White and you could almost hear the anger and exasperation in her voice.

scepticalwoman · 18/10/2018 17:46

And DD said that the consultation should be cancelled as women's voices had not been heard as well as talking about all the attempts to silence him

OP posts:
BoreOfWhabylon · 18/10/2018 17:44

What you all said - David Davis was fantastic! So clear, covered so much. Thank you David.

FeckTheMagicDragon · 18/10/2018 17:43

Any way to listen to it abroad?

niceberg · 18/10/2018 17:42

I just heard the last few seconds and realised it was DD speaking - excited to listen later BUT sooooo late in the day! How many people who hadn’t heard of the consultation are going to slog through it, with its obtuse language and slow website, by tomorrow night?

Zeugma · 18/10/2018 17:40

Just a small point, it's Carolyn Quinn who presents PM. Sarah Montague presents the World at One.

ContessaGoesAMarching · 18/10/2018 17:40

That was surprisingly good. DH listened to it all and then railed about how women wanting their own spaces is discriminatory and tantamount to racism and blah blah blah.

Hmm
