Yep June that’s about the size of it. Online chatter is that it was mean to have evidence of Lils’s twitter abuse, though of course this not being our first rodeo we knew that without proof we’d be told we were lying or exaggerating.

I was gobsmacked at the chair calling us pathetic. Gobsmacked. My displeasure is going to be noted by all the grown ups sponsoring the group.

They did say there’s a consultation out but I can’t find it anywhere. Helpful.

Lily is saying that all Real Women (whether trans or non-trans) are people who agree with Lily.

Contrariwise, people (whatever they say they are or, indeed, identify as) who disagree with Lily are (natch) TERFS. So, presumably, Lily has met more men than women that disagree with Lily. QED Grin

So when they say a 'kinder, gentler' politics does that translate as: women should be forced to be kind, men / people with penises get to mouth off online as much as they like and call women with evidence based opinions "pathetic" (pretty unkind, no?).

How could they call someone "pathetic" at a launch about being kinder and expect anyone to take them seriously? I mean surely they get that saying this is very, very unkind.

So let me get this straight.

Madigan calls women terfs.

But that's really women's fault, hence them claiming that word themselves, rather than it being applied to them.

Which is making Madigan look bad by mistake.

I've expressed sympathy for Madigan in the past, given that they appear to be being manipulated by others. But this isn't manipulative, it's just spectacularly dim. I'm beginning to be astonished Madigan has the wit to log in to Twitter at all in the first place.
