Hi,

I posted at letter I wrote to Judith Blake after the cancelled WPUK meeting in Leeds a couple of weeks ago.

No reply from Leeds City Council (surprise!) but the Yorkshire Evening post, who covered the original cancellation, asked me to write an opinion piece.

I think that was an eloquent, thought provoking letter. It also highlights the situation that lesbians are being put into by GRA. You are absolutely correct that this legislation eroded the rights of women.

I am very concerned about not only the invasion of space but also the implication that if a lesbian turns down a self ID trans they are bigoted. It’s scary.

Great article, you should be very proud of yourself. By being so honest you have given our concerns a human "face", which is always harder to counter. Harder to use shitty sound bites when it's a real person talking about their experiences.

My actual job is about as far away from writing/ journalism as it's possible to get! I was worried I wouldn't do it justice so I'm glad it turned out ok.
