Did we cover this at the time? I can't remember. Article in inane wokemag The Pool by Cologne rape apologist Gaby Hinsliff about the GRA.

Don't read if you have high blood pressure.

Is this not another way to erase older women? Telling them it's their age that means they haven't quite grasped the nuances of the changing times and so dismissing their views entirely? Incidentally, I'm 31 and don't appreciate being erased nor do I think my opinion should be given any more weight than anyone else's by the mere dint of being older or younger. How bizzare.

It may be a while before older women stop feeling erased and annoyed by initiatives like the recent cancer-charity advert reminding "anyone with a cervix” to get a regular smear test (worded to remind trans men that they may still need screening and that GPs may not always remember to call them in).

Is there a forecast on when hell is due to freeze over? Though I'm much more annoyed (too mild a word - appalled) by the insanity of medical records obscuring transmens biology to the extent of putting them at risk, TBH.

Shorter Gaby with grumpy old ladies who just need to get with it on the left.

Ereshkigal · 11/10/2018 10:49

Or expecting women to be collateral damage for someone else's agenda.

No, quite.

You can't say she's not consistent in her complete disregard for other women's safety.

I'm not sure, am I an older woman? I'm very early 40's. Is my eldest GC daughter past it at 17? I'm always ruefully amused by this comparison of assumptions that reminds GC women that not every woman agrees with them, but insists that every young woman is fine with yielding their boundaries, no exceptions.

Dearie me.

arranfan · 11/10/2018 10:40

Yeah, if no one minds, I'll still privilege my own perspective over that of the stereotyped millennial woke who appear to be ignorant of history, science, how language and communication work and generally lacking in life experience.

Me too Aspie.

Is there any actual evidence that YOUNG women don’t feel erased?

When did ageism become acceptable? I mean, I voted against Brexit but it pissed me off that the go-to complaint from our side is that those who supported Brexit are a bunch of old bastards who deserve to die in the next cold snap.

buckingfrolicks · 11/10/2018 10:39

I cannot physically read that. It makes me panic.
