Did we cover this at the time? I can't remember. Article in inane wokemag The Pool by Cologne rape apologist Gaby Hinsliff about the GRA.

Don't read if you have high blood pressure.

So anyone who has a cervix is designed to exclude trans women?

It's not designed to exclude them. It's just not a concern for them because they are male and therefore don't have a cervix. However they do have a prostate.

47! How much older that Gaby do women have to be before she considers them irrelevant?

KOKOagainandagain · 11/10/2018 15:27

I am confused. Is the cancer charity saying that biology matters not how you identify? Trans men still have a cervix and trans women still have a prostate? So anyone who has a cervix is designed to exclude trans women?

citiesofbismuth · 11/10/2018 15:23

Older women are all too aware of the crap that men dole out to all women so are better informed than youngsters who haven't experienced the full glories of toxic masculinity for years and years.

If they can make it into their 30s without being raped, groped, humiliated, discriminated against, used and exploited then their experiences count for something, but not before they've existed in the real world.

lovetherisingsun · 11/10/2018 15:20

I am reminded every day how women are only worth anything at all if they are still considered fuckable

^^This.

Redshoeblueshoe · 11/10/2018 15:14

I guess I'm old.
I don't feel erased.
I feel empowered.
If people don't like what I say I do not give a shit.
I'm not fighting for myself
I'm fighting for my grandchildren.
I know I'm doing a good job as they are already seeing the TRA agenda for what it is.

Badstyley · 11/10/2018 14:32

When I was in my teens 20 years ago we took drugs, lots and lots of drugs. Now kids can’t afford drugs so they fill their heads with crazy ideas and think they’re revolutionary. I’m a bit less wild nowadays and instead of wanting to change the world I’m concentrating on not letting others fuck it up further. No point changing the world until you know what needs changing.

Ha. High fives me too (except “official” work isn’t problem) at least these days. Volunteer work has it’s advantages. Being part time you can plan your partying.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 11/10/2018 14:09

I think I was born old. I can't bear crowds and loud music, I never did drugs and I always craved home by 2am and I'm useless unless I get 9 hours of sleep. Sure I stayed up till dawn many nights, but only if I was blissfully studying with candles lighting the way and soft classical music playing in the background. I never knew what was 'cool' and I never cared either - I was even a radical (well, socialist) feminist many decades before it has suddenly become fashionable :)

Ereshkigal · 11/10/2018 14:01

I would party all night, rock home early morning, chug a Powerade, shower and rock into work clutching a Maccas breakfast.

Me too. Very occasionally I still do Grin

Mind you, genuinely 'older women' don't use words like 'erased'. That would imply anyone ever thought they were visible or worth looking at or listening in the first place...

Hmm
DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 11/10/2018 13:55

Hinsliffe, the rape apologist, can fuck off.

Danaquestionseverything · 11/10/2018 13:54

It may be a while? Ha it comes up sooner than you think. Here’s a few few signs to clue the young ones in (fuck sake just using the phrase young ones makes me feel old).

Like to party? Ha my eldest teen boy struggles to keep up with the pace I kept. I I would party all night, rock home early morning, chug a Powerade, shower and rock into work clutching a Maccas breakfast. Now one too many drinks I struggle for the next two days. Ha.

Gym only a few years ago I’d rock into a gym class after a personal training session to encounter girls in their 20’s moaning about how hard. Excuse me? I’ve just done a one on one training and now following up session you’re 20 years younger and still whinging?

Suddenly though life itself interferes. You hear 40 is the new 20. You’re silly enough to believe it. For the early years it rings true. Here’s the thing - as you’re getting older so are your parents (their ageing is more serious with endless possibilities of various health issues that need your help) meanwhile you’re still trying to raise your own kids (teens are harder).

Naturally as a woman you tend to put everyone else’s needs before your own. In a blink of an eye the MILF becomes a FRUMP.

Bright side is you have an epiphany and realise society has basically fucked you over. You get your fitness back up, this time for you, and you give zero fucks and just speak your mind.

That’s why society is frightened of older women - wisdom and experience, same as it ever was.

Ereshkigal · 11/10/2018 13:52

I think many of us are younger than Gaby.

Ereshkigal · 11/10/2018 13:51

Gaby Hinsliff is apparently 47, so we need to get with the programme like she has.

I used to love my bras Angry but I since I have become very bosomy, they have gone from being cute and lacy to being more accurately described as Foundation Garments. Grin

EsmesRedPetticoat · 11/10/2018 13:26

What’s her cut off point for being “older”? I ask because I’m really not sure if 39 is too old to be relevant yet. I’m certainly bloody angry though!

TheGoddessFrigg · 11/10/2018 13:16

Yes! - why don't us older women just shut up and be erased in silence?

stonesandsticks · 11/10/2018 13:14

bugger- strikethrough/bold fail- but I think you see my point! Silly little elderly pink brain is clearly not up to this

stonesandsticks · 11/10/2018 13:13

It may be a while before older women stop feeling erased and annoyed

I have run this through my bollocks to truth translator (or, 'brain' as we older women call them) and the result is:

It may be a whiletake a few years of bullying and brainwashing before all the women who remember when it was OK for women to speak out to protect themselves and other women from violence by man are dead or too crushed to keep fighting about how much the are being older women stop feeling erased and annoyed and younger women who have grown up with this sort of crap know that they have no-where to hide if they try to challenge things*

averylongtimeago · 11/10/2018 12:17

It's been going on through out history and in pretty much every culture. From FGM and witch burning through to stupid restrictive fashions women are put in their place.
Men fear outspoken older women because they find it harder to control them.

Ereshkigal · 11/10/2018 12:10

Those doing the language policing are mainly TW. Women must never be used for its traditional purpose. It must always include TW and any time it doesn’t it must be replaced.

YY. FTM don't have the power or entitlement of MTF transactivists.

AngryAttackKittens · 11/10/2018 12:04

I love my bras and you will have to pull them from my cold dead hands (because I am substantial of nork).

See, TRAs? What hivemind?

YetAnotherSpartacus · 11/10/2018 12:04

I think it also depends on one's body type. I also prefer other solutions for now

Yes - I agree - I'm sure I'd have a different view if I didn't have ityy-bitty titties although menopausal fat has made me go up a size :(

stillathing · 11/10/2018 12:04

I am being erased but I am younger than Gaby H, which is confusing. But I guess understanding age to be a description of the number of years you have been alive on this earth is outdated and bigoted.
